* food.....no time to eat dude.....lol
      if wise in these ways.....GREAT meal from street vendors less than $5....nice meal from western style place less than $10....last time in great moment of weakness took (VERY NICE) chick to great restaurant.... it was $65 or so.....
* drinks.......very unfortunate....not as cheap due to being heavily taxed....in bar...beer $1.50-2.....grab 6 pack from 7-11.... $3-4  

**2 weeks.......
   $1000 will actually get you decent time if you don't drink too much....stay in cheap place
   $1500-2000.....great time .....bang 10-15 chicks or so....nice room
   $2500+ (me).....stay drunk....bang everything that moves....20 or so chicks

* decide to go ....PM me and I'll give you game plan

I guess it would be better and more appropriate to say it would be a joke for me. Its different for everyone I suppose, first off there is no work here, I am employed through a close friend of mine so I am able to stay here.

But thats not the main reason. The quality of life just isnt really there, the streets stink, lots of poverty, its a third world country. Its just a poor country. Obviously if you have money you dont have to subject yourself to all that but it is what it is.

If your brother has enough savings or if he has some kind of passive income such as gambling or something like that then he way very well like to permanently move out here.

Finally got the damn visa handled... paid a 7000 baht overstayment penalty and 6100 baht to a company to handle it all, included a trip to laos, met a hot as hell laos chick the night I was there and pounded her silly

she was so hot it was ridiculous

yeah when you dive into the even poorer countries.......you can stumble onto occasional gold.....maybe time to break out the titanium rubbers though....especially Cambodia

Looked to me like there was a lot of gold there, I saw some of the most beautiful girls Ive ever seen, no kidding.

We actually went out to the demonstrations a couple weeks ago, seemed more like a World Cup Celabration than anything, it was really kind of laughable.

Supposedly it escalated into violence but the reports of fatalities and injuries seems to have ended. 

It makes no sense to me that the government and military would allow this group to continue to cause havoc and take over major points of the city. Obviously where I come from there would be zero tolerance for such an uprising (not that such a debacle would ever occur in the U.S. in the first place).

My wife is from the Philippines. Before I met her, A friend of mine took me to a place named Angeles City. I believe the place we were in was an Army hangar at one time - it was huge.     not any more dangerous than USA....less than most places here......tourist are catered to and protected.....few incidences lately in Phuket it seems......but...if i wandered drunk just south of downtown Dallas at 2 AM .....i wouldn't last more than 10 minutes or so

pollution in Bangkok is better ...but still BAD

    NO dude.....contrary to what my boy sfgiantswin says....Thailand far from 3rd world....tourism itself is only 5-6% of GNP .....sex trade is major part of that...most tourists in Thailand are women......50% is agriculture...
90% or more of prostitution is local....(that's where the disease risks are)....

10. Are mosquitos a problem (i.e. do you have to sleep with netting over your bed)?
    only in rural areas....minor issue in tourist areas......


* what makes Thailand a great place to go (besides the obvious)....is that the MAN is still the BOSS......the duty of the chick is to take care of the fuckin MAN......DIRECTLY opposite of what you currently find in the US.....(unless loaded of course)....when not banging everything that moves...if you get to know the people....and their culture...> it's really great....they will love your ass.....for free....kinda
last visit....took me awhile .....lol.....but did just that....went north of Chiang Mai (very cool) ....er.....kinda met a VERY nice 20 yr old chick working at a temple....invited me home for dinner with her family....next day took me all over ......riding elephants....went into a cage with tigers....(after MANY drinks).....smart?...
