Take it to the extreme.  What does a 12 year old boy offer a Jerry Sandusky?  They are both sick in the head.  Hers just isn't as socially unacceptable (even though both are illegal).  

That said, if I was a 16 year old kid nailing something like that, I'd be smart enough not to say anything to ANYONE about it.

He wasn't 16 or there would be no problem.  What age does it become a problem?  14?  12?  10?

Bottom line is, both prayed on underage kids.  Now you can say that the guy who banged the cheerleader may have been up for it, but in BOTH cases, the adults should know better and they couldn't help themselves.  THAT is how they are similar.  Not in terms of the damage done to the victims.  I'm not that dumb.
