The Captain of Linebacker U tries to restore order.

In light of the horrible allegations surrounding Jerry Sandusky and the rest of the Penn State program, thousands of students came together for a candlelight vigil and a moment of silence for the victims in the sex abuse scandal. It's probably inappropriate to suggest that someone "stole the show," but I'm not sure how else to describe the incredibly moving speech former Washington Redskins star and current 106.7 The Fan radio host LaVar Arrington gave at the event.

His voice strong with conviction, Arrington urged attendees to continue the fight against abuse and not let anything like what happened at Penn State ever happen again anywhere. He called the Sandusky allegations "the ultimate wake-up call" and said the vigil itself was "merely a call to duty."

    Doubt seriously or seriously doubt.

Mr Win is a 60+ year old man. He was raised in the United States and now lives in Germany. He is the only person i have heard minimize Jerry Sandusky's actions.

False on 3 of four counts. Someone has to be the voice of reason and provide clarity to the witch hunt. The moral panic is pervasive. He deserves his day in a court of law just like you will when you get busted. Right now you are just grasping at straws. My age, where i was raised and now live has nothing to do with the legal rights of someone who is accused of a horrible crime. One day when you grow up and reach somewhere close to maturity you will hopefully understand how stupid you looked back in 2011. By then your cellmate will benefit from your past experience.

I think you're a pedophile that moved to Germany.

Where in the USA did you live?

Just to clarify I am not one of his victims. Just a victim. Just to avoid any confusion.

I think this goes way deeper though. There was clearly a cover-up. The guy was a hot commodity, left his job, and was never hired by anyone else. Clearly, people knew, and yet, he was still getting access to kids.

Let's not forget the DA that investigated the matter disappeared and there are rumors of big name donors having access to these kids as well.

I'm afraid we are mearly on the tip of a very evil iceberg.

    no, he hasn't.

When he came out on his lawn last week and was asked if he did what he's being accused of, he wouldn't say one way or another. You'd figure that he would be incensed about what he's being accued of ..but he just smirked and basically said ....no comment.

Trial and when found guilty hang him in the town square.

We need to bring back public flogging and public hangings in order to deter crime.
Let people in general think twice before they act.

It didn't deter crime then, and it doesn't deter crime now. There has never been a study that proved capital punishment deterred crime.

I wonder why they even arrested him?

I mean, with only 40 lousy counts. He's the real victim here, right Mr. Win?

He's innocent until how many more come forth with their stories?

Maybe I have a reading comprehension problem or something, but I still do not see where he has denied that he is a pedophile or that he didn't do the things he was accused of.

The articles stated that Sandusky denied all charges.. something like that...

It's the first denial I've seen...

Everyone else involved seems to have conceded the events occurred and "more should have been done".

Sandusky, who played football at Penn State and then coached for 32 years at the school, has denied the charges and has been released on bail.

( that is according to writer, but when he was asked by a reporter if he did do what he was accused of, he said no comment,,,anyone can be released on bail, even the guilty..he's going to make a formal plea on Dec 7 )

The case has drawn comparisons to the child abuse scandals that rocked the Catholic Church, whose top officials are also accused of covering up child abuse over decades.

One of the first rules after being charged with a crime is keep your mouth shut. His lack of denying anything is just prudent.
