I've never considered this, but if I'm Sandusky, I'm definitely opting for suicide.  There is no more opportunity to be a "service to society", it's all hate from this point.  So I'd write some notes; apologies, goodbyes, a genuine prayer for forgiveness from my creator, with a pastor present.  Then I'd do it soon after.

we all KNOW that 3) is what is going to happen, unfortunately.  There is no way he won't spend the rest of his life in protective custody, that is if he isn't offed prior to going to trial.

The guy is probably on the internet as we speak surfing child porn.

nothing is sicker than what that man DID.  you can spare yourself of the "accused of".  the man is guilty as sin and no sentencing imagineable, even my suggestion, is just punishment for this fucker's crimes.  good day

sirjohndrake.....you have your values mixed up.

i have 5 kids and would not hesitate to kill the man who raped  one of them.  killing isnt as hard or evil as you think it is.  sometimes its just the right thing to do.  youre either a child or a flower child.

    I'm torn on this punishment.

On one hand, my instinct would be for this man to be put to death ASAP. Not to allow him to toil in a prison at taxpayers expense where he can ride out his days reading, doing odd jobs, and enjoying all the oral sex he wants. I read the grand jury report. I guess he enjoys giving as much as receiving.

On the other hand, I think he should have to suffer as long as possible. After all, his victims have to live with this every day of their lives. Why shouldn't he suffer for a prolonged period of time.

I hope when he enters prison that every other inmate is informed of who he is, and what he has done. I hope prison truly is as rough on child predators as I have heard it can be.

IMO, there is no sentence harsh enough for this guy. I hope everyone has read the grand jury report to truly appreciate how sick this guy is.

This is where we have to be careful. It is easy to seek the severest sanction when we are presented with the most extreme examples. But many cases of alleged incest don't have witnesses, extrinsic evidence, nor confessions. In other words, it is the word of the child against the accused.

In  perfect world, children would never make this up, but google Pennsylvania daycare case 1980s and read about numerous people going to jail and losing their entire lives because of false allegations.

Most of us are guys on this site. What if you were accused of rape and there was no evidence other than the words of the accuser?

Don't get me wrong...I think Sandusky is guilty and should be punished as such...but we cannot change the very foundations of our country because of his horrible actions.

No, I don't have my values mixed up. It is really you with the problem.

The man is accused of very serious criminal acts for which he deserves to be tried, convicted if found guilty and then sentenced to a punishment that is just for his crime.

However for you to believe it is okay for you to take matters into your own hands and kill this person even before he is tried, convicted and sentenced by our lawful society is just very very wrong on your part. We live in a society that has laws to protect us all and we must abide by them otherwise we will have lawlessness and anarchy.

Lastly, 2 evils, don't make it right. Your evil would be worse than his because for one thing he did not kill those boys but nevertheless he is charged with very serious perverted sinful criminal sexual acts on minors and when found guilty, he does indeed deserve to be punished under the full extent of the law that is just for his crime by our lawful society and not by people like you who want to carry out their own unlawful punishments.

    Have a nice day!!

Why the hell would anyone pick #1 and let this monster take the easy way out?

He should be brutalized like his victims were.  Let him spend the next 5+ years getting brutally raped by hundreds of different guys (some of which have HIV/AIDS) and then let him die a slow and painful death alone.

    #2 easily.

IF this guy ends up in prison, he will NEVER be in direct contact with another inmate so give up any thoughts of "inmate justice".

I really think the guy out to take about 200mg of Valium and chase it with a bottle of Dewars.

    He may.

Strap him to a toilet and let a rattle snake go in the drain pipe of the toilet.

See how that feels on the old a-hole or nut sack.

being molested as a kid messes you up but does not cause boy raping on a consistent and sinister basis like some suggest.

ive dealt with so many adults who were abused and they manifest the damage very differently from one another.

i actually think sirjohndrake represents the thoughts of most of society....one that trusts the system.  a system that failed me and which ill never trust.

what would our world be like if all fathers thought like me and were armed well.  a heck of a lot safer and more polite.  obviously those who assume guilt of a perv ....act on and kill....and the perv was innocent are murderers as dj alluded.  but a proof positive perv......in my world its dirty harry time

the world has a sickness and i have the cure.
society likes to hide behind its pretenses of a civilized trial.  well civilized societies are infected with more than they can handle and our system is failing us over and over.

obviously those opposed to my theories on vigilante justice scoff at such things and present logical arguments as to why we should behave in a certain way.  i disagree and im out here.....watching over things i love more than life itself and common moral convention as well.

Carve a very small incision on either side of his crotch. Carve one incission on either side of his buttocks. Carve two more on backside of hands.

Escort him 17 miles off the shore of Miami harbor and drop him in the water with one life preserver strapped around the torso. Oceanic Whitetips arrive 25 minutes tops. Very lengthy and unpleasant demise.

order.....systems....stability.......dont have moral panic......those are aspects that held germany together in the mid twenties and thirties and howd that work for them.

and by the way mr win its very relative as to worse things going on in the world.   if its you kid then the thousands dying in africa of hunger war rape aids seem far far distant removed and less significant than the flesh of your flesh being damaged so horrifically.

It is demonically inspired behavior it is about control and it goes wayy back.  It will take more than a court room to ever fix this problem.
