Nice, i fished islamorada a few years ago.  great time.  i haven't caught a permit or a bone yet.  but to be honest, they aren't high on my list.  I'd rather catch tarpon or snook.  the number 1 fish that i haven't caught that i want to catch this year is a swordfish.  i've tried and tried, with no luck.  luckily i can be catching tuna all the while i have a line deep for the swords.  so it's not a waste of time
