Trusts are the old way of doing things. They once were the tools that wealthy estates used to avoid tax. Problem is the tax rates on trusts are now high...meaning a trust would not be a good fit for a lottery winner.

Think about this:  You lay pennies on a road from Los Angeles to Chicago.  Let's say there is ONE penny that has an "X" on the other side.  The odds of you winning this jackpot would be the same as you randomly picking the penny with the "X" on it.

Obviously, people do win, but

In the grand scheme of things $2 is a joke, so why not.

Talk about my luck, i got 15 tickets now.  But this morning i went to the gas station told the lady i wanted 3 tickets on easy pick.  All three numbers on the powerball i got were 4's the computer gave me i thought go figure.  Maybe its a good omen.

I have 5 quick picks, and 5 I picked myself.  The 5 I picked all have the same PB #.  So if the PB hits im gonna get paid nice.

Getting taxed 40% you would bring home about $961,000/mo for 26 years.  I would have to donate half of that at least if not 80%.

Crazy money.

Nobody takes it monthly.  Lump sum.  Not ure exactly but you'd after accounting for present value and then taxes the take him is probably about 200 mil.  Not bad.
