Lets say, and this is just speculation....that this son was about to get indicted for ill gotten gains....
Now that he is dead, all crimes are "forgiven" If he left millions to the son and a mother alive...rather than a stigma of a bum of a dad, and all the money taken by the Govt / law suits.....
Would you say the Dad did the right thing...for his son?

This shows your values that money is more important in decision making then logical sanity.... ask any child who's parent chose to kill themselves...
How much do you think that kid can think about him/herself if their own parent would not chose to stick around to raise them and give them support encouragement and nurturance, rich or poor, prideful or embarrassed...
Odds that he has created a family tradition where someone in the next generation will traumatize their children and family with an attempted or successful suicide(because it has been taught through modeling that this is the appropriate way to deal with stress or difficulty situations)...
-135
but hey, if it protects the finances then it is 100% justified and right thing to do in your world view...
not saying you are wrong for your world view that money and finances are more important that family, integrity and character....
I just dont share it...

Thanks in advance

It certainly isn't my place to make an assessment on how the child feels or will feel.
I am not aware of criminal charges against the son of BM. Maybe they were forthcoming. A civil suit could potentially survive his death, however.
