A janitor and a grad asst. were the only two eyewitnesses so far, other than victim's accounts.  More people need to step forward to prove Sandusky wasn't 'horsing around' as he states, identify Sandusky in a lineup, then you have a sticking case.

bro they already have 9 vicitims that have come foward....and that grad assisitant...ya his father was good friends with sanduskys father..that grad assistant grew up playing little league with sanduskys son. did you know that? thats the only reason the grad assistant went to his father and not the cops..along with some other reasons im sure, and this was his dream job. you think some grad assistant wants to try to take down the penn state program lol

that should say the grad assistant's father was good friends with sandusky....and the grad assistant grew up as a good friends with sanduskys kid.  so imagine your good friends dad growing up...and imagine catching him doing that.... you would probably wouldnt call 91 off the bat.

I don't believe Paterno is the type of man who would do what Sandusky has done but this will start turning into a finger pointing exercise and people are going to be bringing up other things Paterno was done over the years.

If the Pitt board knew about it, they are just as guilty.  ANYONE who KNEW this was happening and didn't do anything deserve some sort of punishment.

im not sure what you mean...every player loves the man like a father... he stayed at a place 50 years. i mean no one is a saint..but i think overall he is a good guy...take that however you want it..but in this one instance he failed..bigtime.  i think maineroad is dead on.

Makes sense, for sure. Shit pisses me off too.  It's beyond bad and about to get worse..

Has anyone here heard of the Franklin Cover Up from the Reagan Years?  I was too young to remember, but a friend told me to read about it last summer.  It sounds very similar to the Penn State Scandal.

In fairness, I don't know what was flying around the chat boards - and all kinds of crazy shit flies around chat boards.  I would guess the rumor was along the lines of "Jerry Sandusky likes little boys" or "Jerry Sandusky was forced out because he likes little boys."   I'm not sure what happens when you call the cops with detailed information like that , but I'm guessing not much.  I've been spreadign rumors for years that Bud Foster molests goats, and nobody seems to care.   Of course, the fact that I'm making it up may have something to do with it.    Still, I wouldn't leave my goat around Bud.

Ok, if it was just hearsay at that point, I understand.  I took the original post to mean that the Pitt board knew he was molesting kids i.e. they had insider information, and didn't do anything.  Rumor vs. knowledge.

its seriously starting to sound like one of those mormon cults. some guy was just on trial in texas for some fucked up following and raping 13 year old girls. while paterno is not that , he sure as hell had that spell over everyone it seems like. its crazy.  everyone looked up to him including the head of the campus police.  just crazy.
