Check out Discovery Cove. It's a little secluded paradise type resort. Nothing like the typical parks in Florida. Look it up and see if you would be interested. It's a little pricey, but well worth it. My g/f convinced me to go back in August, and I was hesitant b/c I had never been to any of the parks in Florida and wanted to check something out that is well known. I had an awesome time at the Discovery Cove and would shell out the money to go again.

One great tip - use Priceline. I always use it when we go to disney for a few days. The last time I got the brand new Hilton at Bonnet Creek for 58 bucks a night. It is a 5 star hotel.
If you use priceline, you will pay about 60 bucks a night for at least a 4 star hotel.
Awesome advice Van.....I used and studied the site you linked and I used priceline. I ended up with a SWEET deal. I got a top notch resort in Downtown Disney area and saved like 100 a night on the room!
Thanks again brother!

super!
I use it all the time. Have stayed all over the world in nice hotels on the cheap. It makes me sick to pay full price for a hotel now - you get spoiled.
There is another site like the one above - www.betterbidding.com - also, did you read about how to get "free" bids on pricelinge by adding zones that dont have your star level? Something you might want to read up about if you havent already - it lets you really lowball bids knowing you will be able to bid 10 more times.....
Support your local animal shelter. I am on twitter.

He beat me to it. If you have the cash, check this place out. Sea World is a fucking joke compared to this place. Expensive, but well worth the money.
Also, instead of the 300 a night hotels, you can rent a condo for the week. I don't remember where I stayed, but it couldn't have been a mile from Disney and it was cheap(like 800 for the week).
Animal Kingdom is a bore, but I guess the kids will want to see the animals. I may be in the minority, but Magic Kingdom was one of my favorite places. A good mix of games and rides for kids of all ages. Parades always coming through. Fireworks every night.

Yup it was my first time with priceline so I did all the research I could before diving in. I started with one price and one zone and slowly added zones that didnt have resorts in them while raising my price like 2 bucks a time. I think I had 4 zones when it finally accepted the price.
Good stuff man

I normally would be all over the paradise cove thing but Ive done something similar in Cancun.....a place called Xcaret which incidentally is amazing if you ever get a chance to go down there. I just dont think I would be able to enjoy it as much as possible for the cash it costs to get in because of the 2 year old.

We might be doing this one because of all the chances to get wet and the time of year we are going. Im personally not as jazzed about this one because Ive been to Sea World San Diego more times than I can count.

I just got back this week from spending a week in Disney with my 2 year old son. Like it has been said above, he may not remember it 10 years from now, but in the moment it was well worth it for him.
I don't recommend Epcot for sure.
Hollywood Studios is cool if the kids are into Playhouse Disney, Toy Story, or the Muppets. It's a smaller park so you can probably blow through most of it and see everything you want to see by 2 in the afternoon and get some pool time in.
Animal Kingdom is good for kids too becuase they not only have the animals, they also have a pretty large play area that breaks the day up a little and good Nemo show that is very helpful for naptime.
Magic Kingom is a must. Try to get there early and have a plan for what attractions are a must and get them done early or get a FastPass for later in the day.
Disney offers extended hours at one of their parks each night and it rotates from one to the other. Plan on going to the park the day AFTER it has had extended hours. Most people attend the park in the longer days because they think they are getting more time...they are actually just getting longer waits.
Have a great time, let me know if you have any other questions.
