Mysterious Missile Launched Off West Coast- Unknown Origin

Are you fucking kidding me...Unknown Origin...? It's been called a missile launch for goodness sake. Somebody fess up IMMEDIATELY if it was an accidental launch.

Just a crazy hypothesis of mine...

There have been numerous sightings of USO's and UFO's in this area. The launch was determined to be approximately West of LA and North of Catalina Island (I love that place) and determined to originate from that spot in the Pacific Ocean. I know it sounds crazy but what if this was what they call a USO that took off from under the Pacific and immediately came under distress while trying to leave the area. This would account for the large plume of smoke trailing the object. In some video and photo's I've seen, there appears to also be a trail of fire which might account for people thinking this was a missile.

But C'mon Man... No one in the Pentagon knows anything about a missile launch...? Are they fucking kidding me...?

Air Force denies it... Army Denies it...Navy Denies it...?

And they add that it did not pose any threat to the USA...?

Then what the fuck was it...?

Can't be a legal private launch because no license(permit) was issued for a launch.

So what the fuck was it...?

A distressed USO/UFO...?

I'm really interested to see where this story goes. I mean what was it...? A weather ballon with a case of firey asshole...? A freak cloud formation with fire in the sky...? A kid playing with a model missile kit...?

Everything is fine over here....it was an SM3 that was launched from one of the islands off our coast....they do it all the time...

And if military leaders had planned a missile launch, they would have given area residents plenty of advance notice.

Earlier today, officials from the North American Aerospace Defense Command issued a statement saying that the missile posed "no indication of any threat to our nation," adding that "from all indications this was not a launch by a foreign military."

Few details are surfacing about the mysterious missile launch seen Monday night (Nov. 8) from a point just off the southern coast of California, with aerospace and defense officials trying to find out exactly who launched it and why.

"We're looking into it," Ian Gregor, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration, told SPACE.com.

CBS affiliate KCBS caught the launch on camera and reported that military officials were "tight-lipped over the nature of the projectile."

In the video, a long plume of exhaust can be seen as the missile rockets into the evening sky. The launch occurred about 35 miles out at sea, west of Los Angeles and north of Catalina Island.

Gregor said, "We did not approve any commercial space launches in that area for Monday, and any additional information should come from NORAD. That's pretty much all I can say right now."

A spokesman with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency told SPACE.com in an e-mail that the incident was "not an MDA test or launch." [Most Destructive Space Weapons Concepts]

A Navy spokesperson told station KFMB that no Navy activity had been reported in the area Monday evening. NORAD — the North American Aerospace Defense Command — is a joint U.S.-Canadian organization charged with providing aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning for North America. NORAD is working in conjunction with U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) to investigate last night's launch.

The mission of USNORTHCOM is to provide military command and control of homeland defense efforts and support local, state, and federal authorities. It was established in October 2002.

NORAD provided SPACE.com with the following statement: "NORAD and USNORTHCOM are aware of the unexplained contrail reported off the coast of Southern California yesterday evening. At this time, we are unable to provide specific details, but we are working to determine the exact nature of this event. We can confirm that there is no threat to our nation, and from all indications this was not a launch by a foreign military. We will provide more information as it becomes available."

The U.S. military does, on occasion, conduct missile test launches and other weapons tests over the Pacific Ocean that are publicly announced.

I don't doubt what you guys have seen in the past but this is an UNEXPLAINED launch.

The one's you mentioned were explained and expected to be launched.

No one seems to know who did this or why.

The military and FAA claim to know NOTHING about it.

I can't brush that off as easily as maybe you can.

Even if it was a show of strength as this guy suggest... Then Why not announce it was a test firing...?

At this time I know about as much as the Military, FAA and NORAD claim to know... WOW.

My vote is... It was a USO that upon departure from under the Pacific became distressed while attempting to procede as a UFO. That at least explains the secrecy.

Ya know what would be cool.... HOW ABOUT NORAD telling us where the dang thing landed IF IT WAS a missile.

I'm sure they tracked it by radar.

A lot of shit is unexplained....and quite frankly the government really doesn't have to tell us shit...if they're testing missles or flying fucking UFO's I really don't care...the fact of the matter is, even with our downfalls, we are down right the baddest in the world...you can't get that way with divulging everything...

You ever heard of any of the Channel Islands? Like San Nicolas or San Clemente...If not you should Link ....the US Navy controls these islands and they actually have bases on them...they use them to conduct missle exercises from and on...they'll tell you they are uninhabited, but the truth is these two islands are used as a defense mechanism to protect our border here for subs and other infiltraitors....

you and many others may not know this but these islands are an intrical part in protecting our deep sea ports in Long Beach and the next deep sea port north of that is Port Hueneme, which is about a couple miles from Point Mugu...the next deep sea port north of Hueneme is San Francisco....that's a lot of miles away so they are protected with everything we got... Point Mugu is also a major full active navel air base on the west coast and is a major target to our enemies....so much so that during war time subs tried to take out the deep sea port and the air base, but in actuality they don't know where it is...they know it's on the west coast, but it is hidden so well by the Channel Islands that they couldn't find it...they actually thought they had it and attacked teh main land here, but they're coordinants were further north about 45 minutes in qa town called Goleta, which is 10-15 minutes from Santa Barbara....

so my point is that this area over here in socal is extremely vital to our national security in the grand scheme of things....if you wan tto know how I know so much about this is because both my folks worked for the Navy...my mother worked with the Admiral out at Point Mugu for 19 years and my father is an Engineer and worked for Port Hueneme and helped design the sidewinder missle and he was out there for 19 years....

Extremely nice. My experience asking questions leads me to believe that a launch did not go very well. I asked her the same question in 4 different ways and she continued to PR me with 'probably an air craft reflection from the sun' 

She would not confirm any launch at all on Monday, which is a rare denial.

I wish I had some smot to poke right about now...

Have not had any in YEARS. Gave it up when my kids were born in the late 80's... but with an empty nest I'm ready to try some again. I use to be a walking cloud. Ha,ha,ha.

I think there is no doubt this perticular launch came from Nicolas island....I could be wrong, but chances are 99% that it did...if that's the case we're all good...

To me I think they were just showing their appreciation for the new black ops game that came out at midnight......I think Booby got a littel too caried away with the vibration on the controller and hit the wrong sequence and.....oops...a missle was launched

As former military I am fully aware of the secrecy involved. I myself was involved in some border crossing incidents on the old demarcation line in Germany. We crossed the border on several patrols and came within reach of Warsaw Pact forces. It would have been bad had they known we were there. And we were only given 3 rounds each for the patrols. There were also incidents with rounds fired by choppers that went unreported to the common man (Civilians). Things were easier to cover up back then. Now they are just calling this a strange contrail (chuckle).
