Nothing to worry about. The loveable losers from Chicago will never win a world series.

In a perfect world It should never happen. True. But the thing is that it did happen. And if you recall or watch the documentary just about EVERY fan who was close enough to have a shot at that ball attempted to catch it. It was just shit luck that he happened to touch it.
And while this is impossible to argue because it can never be proven I find it hard to believe that there is no way that fans of other teams would not of done the same.
Lets face it the Cubs fans are recognized as die hard as any other out there and so I have a hard time believing that there is no way it could of happened in other stadiums. Bottom line is that it was a scenario that happened so quickly that they did not have time time to react rationally. That is all.

this is not the same as a cubs fan (or red sox fan) acting spontaneously when the opposing team hit the ball (which is what the entire section around Bartman did).

Even his friends (I bought 3 tickets to that game) left him out to dry. Make matters worst nearly everyone in the stands were pointing at him including his friends. Very much a lynch mob mentality. What really shocks me is that Bartman breaks the mold of anyone who has fame (whether good or bad) and never cashed in on it. The letter he wrote of how broken hearted he was and how he completely uprooted his life flat out blows my mind!
