Anyone that loves freedom should be for decriminalization
Legalization woul likely equate to even higher prices than you see today, and more gov mandated hassles and hoops to screw people over. More middlemen, as you see in every other area where the gov't allows you to do something. Its none of their business what plant you grow in your backyard or what you consume. Your body is the most sacred of all property, and this is as harmless a plant as you will come across
If pot were decriminalized, prices would come in, and if you use soy/acre and corn/acre, you can see how bud would cost less than cigarettes. Govt spending would contract once they stop funding army helicopters to survey sparsely populated areas of kentucky etc for rogue outdoor ops. Crime would plummet as it would crush a major revenue source for gangs etc
Healthcare? Pot is the solution. Swap marijuana out for hfcs/all sugars, as sugar is proven to be both more physically addictive AND more harmful. Nursing homes would evolve from smelly, scary prisons where people go to die and serve a life sentence, to beautiful resort-like institutions. Stop forcing the litany of drugs on the elderly, let them tend to their herb garden in the back, then they can sit around all smoked up, cooking canna foods, laughing and enjoying life
Other than what we have now, wholly corrupt police state, judges that trade cash bribes for youth that have had the misfortune of being too poor to avoid the terrorist/police state, soulless lawyers that all get rich out of prohibition

Thanks, but no thanks
Id rather it stay illegal than become legalized

Weed Wars chronicles how people will go to extremes and expense when the laws subvert the will of people.
Exactly people will find a way to buy it anyway.... so why not legalize this product and make money off the taxes from it, and produce more money for the economy!!!! Plus lots of wasted time and money on the war on drugs, dea jobs reduced, less people in prison over small amounts. Leaves more room in prison for REAL criminals.

Weed is a 300 billion dollar global industry and the #1 mostly high used schedule 1 drug on the planet. U.S Govt wants and gets a big piece of that pie.
By all means legalize it but this about serious revenue.

no more than people who drink on the job. there are always exceptions to the rule but people like to puff after their day is done and its time to relax, not when they need to perform surgery on someone. the people who smoke are gonna smoke regardless of whether or not its legal, there will not be a huge spike in the number of people who smoke just because it becomes legal. in fact the number will drop once the 'cool' factor of doing something illegal is gone. there really is no good argument against legalizing pot once you really look past the government propaganda

Pot will NEVER ever be legalized in any Covers lifetime. BEasy, you need to do a little research on the econimcs and potency of the drug respectfully in the 21st century
Complete fantasy thread.
Oh btw, THC is up from 3% (good ole days) to levels over 20% lab grow. DEA schedule remains strongly at Schedule #1. Users are showing more intense bahavior than from the 1980's. It is a concern.
Could go on an on with data. No chance it ever is legislated as legal. Ski resorts will go up in hell before that happens. Wish I was wrong.

Search, if theres something you know you think i dont, by all means, share the info
"Users are showing more intense behaviour than from the 1980's. Its a concern"
Lol, dont fall too deep into the propaganda hole there buddy.
The government is much closer to collapsing under the weight of its own complexities now than they were in the 80's. They won't have much a choice in the matter, as energy continues to become more scarce, and the economy falls further into the black hole. Look at how far the mmj movement has come in thirty years, somethings gotta give, and my money is on the ignorant prohibitionists will become more irrevelant as the economy gets worse, and they are relegated to eating their own feces because of their hate and simple mindedness

Easy I respect your opinions but you're just not giving me any facts to go on here. 300 BILLION dollar industry. A very lucrative business fighting the traffic. 20%+ THC levels that produce a farm more intense high isn't govt propoganda - it is simple fact. Studies also prove that the drug is highly addictive, (Schedule1 is the top) and has zero medical benefits (which I believe is nonsense).
DEA is completely full of shit, you know it and so do I, but they will never move an inch. The revenue is a fat cash cow.
