I cant imagine why an open and shut case wouldn't get the same attention as a case where the police screwed up and the killer most likely won't be punished.

Who said anything about the same attention?
How about 1/1000 th of the attention?
After all it was a clear cut case of two white foreigners murdered by a black youth as opposed to a case where a black youth assaulted a man of mixed race and ended up with a fatal injury.

The first case actually seems far more significant.

Sorry, this was just on the local news and I figured that I would let everyone know that the justice system still works down here.

Since the Trayvon situation is assumed to be revolving around the race of the victim and suspect, I thought that I would share another story that heavily revolved around race, in fact the killings were a direct result of race.

Pretty sad when 2 White men visiting this country armed with nothing more than a Buzz and an Accent  are murdered in cold blood by an angry Black Youth who doesn't like crackers.

Holy shit - I'm not getting into a damn race war every single day on covers. This is my last comment on this subject and I've discussed it many times. I don't know all the facts, and neither do you, but this is what we do know and what the EVIDENCE points to.

1 - The man who shot Trayvon was charged with assault on a police officer, and domestic abuse twice. Whether he was guilty of those charges or not, the allegations alone should make it illegal for him to carry a weapon.

2 - He was following Trayvon when the 911 operator said he shouldn't be.

3 - Zimmerman claims the teen attacked him, yet several videos have surfaced where Zimmerman has absolutely no visible injuries.

4 - Anyone with two ears can hear Zimmerman say "fucking Co*n'' under his breath.

5 - Zimmerman SHOT AND KILLED an unarmed kid.


Everything I mentioned above CANNOT be disputed, (other than the fact he might not have said Co*n)

What EVIDENCE...(key word evidence) do you have, other than Zimmerman's word that Trayvon attacked him?

Unfortunately, you do not possess the reading comprehension of an 8 year old.  All Crod is saying is there is a double standard here.  A "white" guy kills a black guy, and it is all over the news.  Both Jackson and Sharpton are down in Florida stirring things up and playing the race card.  Of course what happenned to TM is terrible.  Shouldn't have happenned, or so it appears.  If the TM incident is indeed murder, then yes, prosecute Zimmerman to the FULLEST.  Interestingly, I never saw or heard anything about these TWO white guys from Britain being murdered by a black guy just because they wandered into a "bad area". (which is an entirely different discussion, btw).  Why weren't Sharpton, or Jackson decrying these murders?  Exactly.  Where was scabby?---these are the REAL racists.  It is unfortunate these sad situations even have to come down to black/white, literally and figuratively.  Folks like the three i just mentioned just perpetuate these racist overtures.  Says alot about their character and soul, doesn't it?--but I think most of us have already figured that out.

Wrong. Laughably so.

1. Take it up with the state legislature. What you think really isn't relevant. Where's your list of much more recent actions by the punk kid. He was clearly a trouble maker.

2. He took the advice of the operator and then was attacked. Furthermore the "operator" does not make law. Zimmerman had a right to protect the housing sub-division where he lived and where thefts were a problem.

3. The Daily Caller and other sources published pictures that show an injury to the back of his head. The paramedic who treated Zimmerman at the scene indicated "a lot" of blood on his face.

4. meaningless hearsay

5. After being attacked and sustaining injuries.

Eye witness testimony indicates Martin attacked Zimmerman from behind.

Dude was suspended from school for drugs.
Chump was suspended from school for vandalism.
Fool was suspended from school for burglary tools and stolen property.
The clerk in the store says he never paid for the skittles.
Evidence exists he was a drug dealer.

Yep - Trayvon smoked and sold weed, was suspendid from school, and the guy who killed him claims it was self defense (never heard that one before.)

  At least you owned up.  We will have to wait and see what really happenned.  Heard so many conflicting reports.  Just disappointing the other case (with the two British guys) didn't receive the same attention.

Bottom Line is this:

If George Zimmerman is a Black man named George Jefferson, no one in the country would know about this story nor care about it.

Is it because White(or in the case 1/2 White) crimes against Blacks are so rare that it is mandatory that they make National Headlines Every Time?

The case would gain MORE attention if a black guy gunned down an un-armed white teen and was allowed to get away with it.

When Zimmerman was revealed to be be Hispanic or White Hispanic as the media has labeled him, you can bet that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson's assholes puckered up even tighter than scalabrine's did.
