Is there a recurring theme to the root of all these horror story type killings??

Question

Let me go back to the Jovan Belcher story, Reports have come out in the past few days that the reason he went off was because he had doubts as to whether he was the biological father of his daughter. Now you could make the case that there's a gazillion other men out there who have doubts as to whether they are the real father of their girlfriends kid and they don't go off on a killing spree, True but there will have been plenty of minor cases which didn't have as bad an ending as this.

Then I go onto another story, A few months back someone made a thread on here with a link to a story of a man killing his 2 daughters and himself after he and his wife were going through a bad divorce and their were issues over custody. I can't remember the exact details but if i could hazard a guess it was in the Pennsylvania area I think.

This brings me to Lanza, Listening to Fox News today, It says that both brothers took their Parents divorce in 2009 badly and although Ryan hasn't been as badly affected he was still hit by it. Now to Adam, He had multiple personality disorder, Had a loner style life during school and was struggling with autism. However, Of course this is all speculation and guess work but had his Parents not divorced would this of still taken place???

I'm hearing people blame guns and the legality of them in the US, How about we take a look at modern societies view on Marriage and the lack of seriousness in which it's viewed at.

Maybe if we didn't marry every Tina, Danielle and Hannah that we get a crush on after 2 dates and actually took a look at our partners in a long term perspective these issues such as knowing if we're the real father and the divorces with 2 year old daughters wouldn't happen.

I'm not pro guns nor anti guns but people blaming them are just looking for something to blame, The real issue is what I stated above, It's us as a society that have to take a look at ourselves. Modern society has made it okay to marry people you barely know and the consequences despite the rarity can be severe.

There are disturbed people in all countries. The difference is that they don't have access to firearms as easily as you do in the U.S.

He did get shot by a white male according to the police report which you failed to read or even knew existed. I actually read it. Why is it important that the police thought he was white at the time of the shooting?Because he was the beneficiary of white privilege which is yet another term white individuals refuse to admit exists. In their eyes, it&#x27;s all about &#x27;hard work&#x27; and everyone else&#x27;s race only holds them back because &#x27;they&#x27; focus on it, when in reality, whites are the very first people to look to race when a crime occurs, except of course in one instance, when the person committing the crime is white. i dont belive its related to divorce its related to the fact that people see others doing it so they want to do it. 10 yrs ago before columbine this never happened ever cause no one even thought about it. now it seems like happens once a year at least in some way shape or form because mass killings have become glamorized by the media. u say divorce is to blame i say its the media as a whole . the media is why mass killings occur in todays society because they bring noteriety to the serial killer. This is what they want people to feel their pain as many people as possible.

Because the media has such a massive hard on for mass shootings losers can instantly can go from being nobodies to having over 100,000,000 people know their name.  And they all know the higher the body count the more the media will talk about them. &#xD;&#xA;I know this will NEVER happen, but if the media took an approach to mass shooters like most tv stations do with people that run on the field during sporting events I think the number of these horrible events would go down. &#xD;&#xA;I mean think how many more morons would run onto fields during NFL and MLB games if the stations actually showed the person doing it.&#xD;&#xA;But like I said, that will never happen.  Hell, I wouldn&#x2019;t be surprised if some of the higher ups at the various news stations actually love mass shootings because they are ratings gold.

Also because of the attention the media gives these events they seem to create a domino effect. Losers who hate their lives and plan on killing themselves because no one likes them sees the attention these other losers are getting so they figure “what the hell, I might as well take as many innocent people with me.”

The media has to know this yet they report on these events 24/7 anyway. They know they are partly responsible for horrible tragedies like this yet they sit there with their crocodile tears for the victims talking about how we can avoid events like this in the future.

In the last few years it seems like the common occurrence has been mentally unstable individuals with access to fire arms. Psychiatrists, family members, friends, whoever, need to start notifying law enforcement if they think these people may do harm to others. Look back over the last few years: VA Tech, Tucson, Aurora CO, Sandy Hook (I'm probably leaving some out).

Liberals who are already for gun control have events like this to prop up their agenda. Some are wiling to take away rights of law abiding citizens but don't want to take steps to notifying the proper authorities because of privacy.

How bout we look deeper into these individuals and do whatever we have to do to keep them under control.
