. I owe my bookie 4k and dont have it

I have been with this guy about a month. Both times I lost so far I paid him on time. But I started chasing this week and lost. Damn the Chargers straight to hell. All I needed was for them to win their game. Epic blunders all day and the most horrifying beat imaginable. 

The guy I owe is a reasonable dude. But Im more embarrassed than anything. I dont want to ignore him, or change my phone number, but I just cant stomach talking to him and telling him that I cant pay him anything or asking him for a payment plan or some crap like this. 

Gambling is the devil. Is anyone here ahead lifetime? We will have some winning weeks sure but in the end we will be raped. Make no mistake about that. 

I really dont know what to do or how to approach this situation. I know what I should do, be honest with him and ask him for a payment plan or something like that, but that is so utterly embarrassing I would almost rather stiff the guy. 

My credit score is bad and I would not qualify for a loan so that is not an option. And I dont know anyone who would loan me 4k.

The easiest thing to do would be to ditch him. The difficult yet honest thing to do is to tell him the truth that I fucked up and cant pay anything right now and ask him for a payment plan I guiess.

If you owed me 4k and stiffed me, I'd make sure your car had 4k worth of damage. Breaking your arm doesn't help me. But, it shouldn't come to that. Work out a plan. Unless this guy wants to go out of his way to make an example of you, or your car isn't worth 4k, he'll want installments. At least twice a month, imho. 

I'd wish you good luck, but I gotta keep that for myself...

Trust me, these guys see it all day long. Just call him now and say I'm real sorry,  got in over my head and need a little time to get square. He'll ask when and you'll answer as soon as possible. Ya can give him a few hunfred bucks as a good faith payment.

If you owed me 4k and stiffed me i'd put a bullet in your f*cking head. Your post on this site has shown how much of a degenerate you are. "Guys, I might be going to jail..." Remember that one Now it's "Guys, I racked up 4k in losses and i'd rather stiff the guy than ask for a payment plan." Well, your life would be worth less than that 4k to me. I'd be so quick to blast you over that 4k.

First of all, he isn't going to physically hurt you for $4K unless he is a moron or metally ill. It isn't worth the risk of the consequences. Maybe 40K. But more to the point, now is the time you have to deturmine what type of human being you are and will be.

My personal advice is to rip the bandaide off and make him your very next call, or better stop by if he is locl and explain to him exactly what happened and that you will make it right with a payment plan. Even if it's not much each payment it will ultimately make him happy (although likely not at first) and you will feel better about yourself. If you feel you are a compulsive gambler, go to a meeting for GA, and see how you feel about that. If you're convinced that you don't need that then go see a couselor or psychologist and be very honest (brutally) and maybe you can feel even better.

Naw, I haven't gotten anything new, been to a gun show, or even looked at a magazine recently. A buddy did get me out shooting this past week when I was back in California.
