Hard to comprehend for some for sure...

This seems so much closer to the revealing some facets of truth about the complex topic  than simple mindedly comparing racism to dunking a basketball.

Speaking of simple minded, you, like Scal previously, are being obtuse.

Everyone, even you, know that my use of "slam dunk" was to substitute a well known term into your failure of a definition to show how evasive and uninformative it was.

It was not comparing "slam dunk" and "racism" so stop insulting the intelligence of everyone in here

Listen man,  you tried... But failed in having a civil discussion...  Just more insults like you are butthurt...

Now I am going to say this half joking and at the same time meaning it.. So I hope you can not be so serious  and emotional and laugh at the humor here and at the same time get the point in communicating that based on your posts in this thread after I tried to engage you in a civil discussion about the topic and you flipped out, I am not going to engage further and waste time on it...

So go take your ball and go run along... The grow folks on this thread are trying to have an adult conversation about a complex topic

Insulting butthurt reaction to the joke in... 3...2....1....

He answered, “Racism to me is a complex system of beliefs, but also that it manifests itself in a cultural, societal, political, economic, etc level. “

Everyone with a brain thought, NO SH1T Sherlock, it’s a complex system of beliefs, LOL! That wasn’t a real answer. It was just a bunch of gibberish. Hillary teaches her sheep very well, LOL!

I knew you would duck me DL36! LOL! Even though you ducked my post directed at you. I’ll still answer your question. What's my definition of racism?

Racism is to prejudge a person based on race, to discriminate based on race, to claim superiority over another race or to look down at a race with pity, sympathy, or as inferior. It’s basically anyone that’s a liberal democrat or a closeted democrat that claims “independent” out of shame.

I like the ignorance factor you bring up aas well as the manifestation in socia behavior... I agree on some level it is an intelligence factor and if everyone had that intelligence factor we wouldn't need political correctness because everyone would be acting intelligently.    No need to stupid guidelines for stupid people...

Here is another interesting scenario... I have friend that has a lot of preconceived notions of black people.  Some of it was what he grew up with in Cali and persona experiences,  some is just how he chooses to view people.

So he does IT and tech solutions for small to midsized businesses.  So anyways he has a client that is a business that is predominately African American. So he complains about it and makes what seems like racist comments about the people there but when it comes to providing service to these people he is professional and friendly and they basically love him.

So is he a racist and is this racism?

He says that they have a pest problem because these people at their desk and drop food so he find more insect and rodent issues than in other places...  But says that the people are super nice to him because they often need his help in fixing problems or considering options to make their business run better and trust his advice.  So they are a little more dependent upon him than other accounts.

So is his putting aside his racial views and being professional, friendly, helpful and providing great service racism?  Is this white guilt?

Or does he just have he intelligence or perhaps the lack of ignorance to comprehend social behavior in a modern first world society and function as a professional and a decent human being even with his own personal feelings about African Americans?

Guess for him what he says and how he acts a choice.  But that only works if you believe in choices and personal responsibility and accountability

Anyone can answer... well... Almost anyone...

DL36, I know that you’re locked up. No hurry. Respond when you’re released.

    1. Yes. You are ducking me. You completely ignored my response to you. You addressed none of the points I brought up on post 21.

    2. No. If you deliberately chose not to invite a black person for discriminatory reasons, that would make you racist.

    3. Is the teacher looking down on them with pity because they are Latino? If so, that would be a little racist. I befriended a guy from Russia in high school. He moved to the United States knowing little English. I didn’t feel pity or superior to him. I didn’t care that he was white or Russian. I showed him the ropes because it was the American thing to do.

    Scalabrine,

    1. If you support affirmative action, which it’s blatantly obvious that you do because of your covers history, that means you pity minorities as inferior humans that need to be shown sympathy and preferential treatment. That makes you a racist.

    2. Show me a current official United States government mandate that specifically applies to whites/caucasians only. I expect crickets.

You may not see it that way, but logical people correctly interpret that to mean you believe blacks are helpless and deserve, even need, favoritism and coddling.

Excusing what behavior? The same behavior you conversely use to justify extrajudicial murder by using the phrase, "He was no angle!" as a bloody corpse lie on a road or sidewalk?

Is it that behavior? Because when have I 'excused' that?

And I haven't really had one substantive discussion about race in his forum for over two years, precisely because the audience is comprised of posters like yourself: bigots who think of themselves as perfectly rational and grossly overvalue their intellect (when there is a severe lack thereof) with regard to the race-related topic at hand.

Anyhow, carry on. I just passively observe these incoherent discussins and cap games now while this goes on.

For like the 500th time, I don't have discussions with you to try to convince or persuade you of anything because you are obviously hopeless.  I just want to make sure everyone sees you for the fool you are.

Who are these bloody corpses lying in the road or sidewalk you speak of?  Michael Brown?  Trayvon Martin?  In both cases it has been well established they attacked the other party.  Don't let evidence, irrefutable criminal history, and acquittals get in the way of your favorite narrative though, you keep siding with the "helpless" and "oppressed"

Maybe if I work in a pro wrestling analogy you will have an epiphany:

Imagine someone who doesn't know any of the wrestlers turns on the TV and sees some big muscular guy in small spandex underwear (you know, just how you like it) inflict his signature super duper triple twister pile driver thing on some other poor dude.  People are cheering as the poor guy lies on the mat unconscious.  The viewer thinks to himself, "That poor guy didn't deserve that, woe is me the world is a cruel, unfair place and I have to do something for these people who are getting super duper pile driven!"

Turns out the guy who got pile driven hit the other guy in the back with a chair numerous times, slapped his girlfriend/manager, and stole his world championship belt.  So, scally boy, when you watch your soap operas, do you cheer for the heel, or the face?  Is that viewer who tuned in late (kind of like you showing videos and tell stories without taking into account what leads up to it) right, or ignorant and clueless?

And I haven't really had one substantive discussion about race in his forum for over two years, precisely because the audience is comprised of posters like yourself:

No, more like every time you try now you are exposed for the leftopathic liar that you are, by myself and others here.

What are the odds that a caucasian wins the 100Meter final in the Olympics this summer?

Even better, what are the odds that a Caucasian even makes it.

Look, we live in a society that tries to overlook and explain the differences between the races but there are some and they are simply facts.
    1) Blacks have darker skin than whites on average. Yes there are exceptions but I mean this in all sincerity. The stupid people of this world try to make us believe the races are "equal on all fronts" S H I T are my eyes deceiving me?2

    2) Blacks are faster than whites. Yes there are exceptions but do you know the last Caucasian to win the 100M in the Olympics. Look, there is no denying this fact, although, Blacks are a minority in the world, the will represent the majority in the sprint races in the Olympics. This is a differerence between the races. Could a white person win the 100M, yes, it could happen but I seriously doubt it will in my lifetime .

    3) White are smarter than blacks. It is proven in IQ tests, just Google it. No one likes to talk about blacks running faster because that opens the door to the talk of whites being smarter but both are probably true, that facts are there if you just look.
Does that mean all blacks are stupid and all whites are smart, obviously not. Just like there are still some good white sprinters, there are some brilliant black people on this planet.  To include everyone in a group is where you get into trouble.
