The only job I saw him have is the short time he worked at H@H bagels where he was on strike for years before that...He really didn't have a job for the entire run of Seinfeld and also had the gambling problem

In the second season George makes a reference to kramer falling " behind backwards into money " while talking to Jerry.........However I think the writers quickly abandoned this idea as we never heard about it again.
