Diver killed scuba diving in FL in chummed water...
I go to Miami at least 4 times a year for diving and business.
Ive been a certified diver for many many years now and have been in shark dives off Montauk. Shark diving is safe...as long as u know what u are doing and have a great DM
it's DM's like Rickey who make this hobby a great experience

Before: A shark attacks and kills a person on a diving expedition near the Bahamas and leaves a lot of questions about what actually went unanswered. The diver, 49-year-old Marcus Groh of Vienna, Austria, was bitten in the leg, but later died at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
Updated: An Austrian tourist died Monday after being bitten by a shark while diving near the Bahamas in waters that had been baited with bloody fish parts to attract the predators.
Markus Groh, 49, a Vienna lawyer and diving enthusiast, was on a commercial dive trip Sunday when he was bitten about 50 miles off the coast of Fort Lauderdale, said Karlick Arthur, Austrian counsel general in Miami, Florida.

Few shark dives (without a cage) Ive gone on the company did not bait at all. They made sure to let you know they believed baiting was wrong.
However looking back they were still putting customers in danger knowing other places supplied in certain areas.
The sharks still showed up though, apparently the way I understand it, figuring there was the chance you would have food because some of the other businesses used bait.Once the sharks, mostly reef sharks, black tips, realized there werent any free meal's,they would disappear one at a time just like when they showed up.
Guess now looking back, it wasn't a very smart thing to do but truly was an excellent trip.
This guy either did not comprehend, missed out on the briefing, or just didnt care.
