It’s not original nor accurate to compare crypto currencies to Pokémon or Tulips. I don’t recall Pokémon or Tulip exchanges bringing in billions of dollars in revenue. I don’t recall revolutionary technology behind any Pokémon cards. So please stop with the Pokémon and Tulip comparisons. They have absolutely nothing in common with crypto.
Bitcoin has been around since 2009. It is a digital currency that has become a store of value. A better comparison would be gold or diamonds. As for utilities (like ethereum) a better comparison would be technology companies like Google or Apple. Remember these companies started at ground zero, they were once speculative and many people did not believe in them. These companies changed the world and the way we do business. Many of us strongly believe that the technology behind the Blockchain is revolutionary and will also change the world.
And for what it’s worth, I’m not on a boat waiting to sink. I invested in this market years ago and have made me money. However, I believe there is a lot more money to be made in this space. It’s still very early and a $1,000,000 bitcoin is not a matter of if but when.

Installed a 100A (200 ft ) Sub Panel today at a friends 2nd mining rig.
Crazy because at current prices there is little profit for the small miner when you have to convert to BTC or Ether even if mining the off the track coins.

Investopedia makes the case that Bitcoin has ALL the classic signs of a Bubble Market and at least 3 Fatal Flaws that preclude it from ever being a Currency and I personally assigned it Mass Hypnosis (Mob Behavior) but in the face of the Vast Swirlling Sound to declare a Million$ Bit-Poke-Bulb only a matter of When!!

There is blood in the water! But, this is nothing new to the crypto market. In fact, it's par for the course. The market tends to capitulate from time to time and that's what we're seeing. I'm not sure if it's finished yet. But, if you like TA, it appears there is support at 6200 for BTC.
Don't let FUD get the best of you. Crypto Currency is not going away. It's just a very irrational and volatile market. The longer you've been around it, the more you'll understand this. I think with regulation, it will eventually settle down. But, for now - we live with an imperfect market as we wait for it to mature. The silver lining is that lots of money can be made while we wait

Goose, one year ago - BTC was sitting at $1000. That's a 600% return. I'm not knocking pot stocks, but 600% speaks for itself

I've been invested in BTC and ETH for several years. I'd rather not disclose the amount. But, I've done very well. My returns (in just a few years) exceed my lifetime returns in the stock market.
It's not for the faint of heart. It's been a wild ride and at the beginning, I did bail on the market a couple of times. However, after being around for as long as I have, what it's going through right now is par for the course. I've seen this time and time again.
I'm not telling others where to invest their money. I am simply stating that I believe in the future of the market and I will continue to invest in it.
