I don't know Scalabrine. I really don't think race is an issue with this video. Now the media is already trying to push it that way, but I didn't see anything here in this video that I haven't seen in many other videos of all races getting their ass kicked by the police.

That could have easily been some dumb white guy and he would have got the same treatment. If the police can see that you are willing to not only risk your own life, but the lifes of any innocent people around you by speeding through neighborhoods and running redlights, what do you expect them to do when you finally decide to stop? They already know that obviously have a "Don't give a Fuck" attitude so whatever consequences happen after that were brought about by the guy's actions.

If he wasn't up to no good, why did he run in the first place? And to say that colored people should resort to "Fight or Flight" is just absurd. Especially if they have done nothing wrong.

Scalabrine I am no expert on Mopeds, but that looked and sounded an awful lot like a crotch rocket.

For future reference, He could not legally search you ( without your consent) only pat you down for weapons.
If he felt something like a weapon ( certainly a small amount of pot doesn't feel like that ) he can go retrieve it

Minors must be released to parents/guardian

I know if I found someone who was cooperative with that little amount of pot, I would give them the choice:
Dump it in the wind
Get arrested

Pretty easy choice, regardless of the amount

TRUE STORY FROM WHEN I WAS ON THE JOB....

I was working patrol one time, a beach resort, inlet parking lot.....with 2000 feet of beach between the parking area and the water...and there was nobody on the beach ( late spring-early summer...May sometime )
I smelled someone smoking pot...

There was a mound of sand piled up on the beach ( about 15 feet tall...a huge mound ) and nobody in sight...
I figured the guys must have been sitting behind the mound....

I walked up in stealth mode and heard the guys talking...normal BS , laughing, etc....
I came around the corner, and see it is a group of about 6 guys wearing biker gear...leather, bandannas...boots etc and someone says "COP" and guy holding the joint quickly buries it behind him in the sand....

I say Whats up guys, great day huh?

They say Sure is officer, how are you?

I say fine....what are you guys up to...enjoying the weather
Sure are officer, its a great day to be at the beach ( and snickering going on )

So...whats that I smell?
huh? oh, smells like fries and ocean to me says a guy...( more slight laughs pot giggles )

They say no problem and start walking to the beach

Some time about August, I go to a local bar where bikers frequent..it has the coldest beers in town and everyone is cool there.
I am shooting pool when some guy comes up to me and says " Hey Pig...better watch what your drinking...
I ask him why
He says...you arrested me for drunk driving...you shouldn't be drinking should you pig?

I told him to just chill, and mind his own business.....
The guy keeps lipping, and I figure Fuck this, I'm gonna just walk away...
I go to the bar, order a beer and a few burly guys walk my way
I think, oh fuck, here comes another guy to fuck with me

The guys says, hey man, want us to take care of that guy?
I ask WHO and they say that asshole fucking with you....

I said, why....
They say, you don't remember us?
You cut us a favor a few months ago....

I said Oh yeah....no problem ,and no, it's OK

Well the drunk comes back my way, mouths off, and the bartender tells him to let it go, or get thrown out.

I then see the bikers go over to the guys and start talking, laughing, buy him a beer etc....

They go outside

About 5 minutes later, they come inside, except for the mouthy guy....

Guy comes up to me and says " He won't be giving you any more trouble" and pats me on the back

I didn't ask what happened, but, I bought the crew a few rounds of beer

About 10 minutes later, an ambulance comes up the street.

Apparently that clumsy mouthy drunk must have fallen down behind a dumpster, because he was pretty banged up, and had to be taken to the hospital

 you never know when cutting somebody a break will be rewarded

Maybe I was 18 at the time... because I know I could have called anyone, but my Dad knows a few of the cops, I figured he would find out anyway so I just called him and told him what happened.


I don't have any deep-seeded issues with ALL cops like some people on here, but a lot of them really are small-minded assholes who got picked on too much in high school.



Another quick story: One time me and some friends were eating speghetti and meatballs, it had been about 2 hours since we were at the party across the hall.  Cops come... bully everyone there... breathalize the 6 of us... threaten us (even though only half of us were even legally intoxicated.... one guy starts getting mouthy with them so they take him outside and write up a disorderly, cuff him, hit his head off the wall, and let him go.  We close the door and Ed (who was the one who got his melon knocked off the concrete wall) starts ranting about how it was bullshit and how fucked up the cops are.... the second he gets done ranting there's a knock on the door, the cops listened to him and waited for him to finish before they took him outside and beat him up a little bit, a few more head-clunks off the wall, and then wrote him a 2nd disorderly conduct.


Those guys were really helpful.

Driver cooperative, guy in backseat mouths off

I stopped a guy one time speeding, but not ticket worthy
his buddy in back seat mouths off....
I tell the driver, your friend is trying to get you in trouble, you might want to take care of that by the time I come back.

RIGHT THEN >>>IN FRONT OF ME....he turns around and backfists the guy right in the nose-mouth

The guy in the back says " hey man, you see that?"

I said " see what" handed the kid his license, told him to slow it down, and let him go
