Biggest joke assh*le in the NFL.   Would not stand for the NATIONAL ANTHEM all year and now that he is a free agent he says next year he will stand for the NATIONAL ANTHEM.   He knows that there is not another NFL team that would have anything to do with him and his joke stance.   Never like the guy before and now have absolutely no use for him what an idiot.

You Americans aren't the brightest bunch on here so i'll go easy on you but not once did he say he was anti America or hated the country, He hated the racism faced by Blacks from cops at the time, Especially after that guy who got shot in front of his bird in his car whilst being pulled over. Now In order to cause awareness he decided to pull a stunt, Awareness was raised, Now that it's raised he will end the stunt and go back to respecting his countries national anthem, Not that hard to put together. It has nothing to do with him being a free agent.

"Awareness was raised"? What's been done about it? It's not like he was protesting the Vietnam war and now it's over. Blacks are still getting shot by cops, and cities like Chicago are still a toilet with blacks being the overwhelming majority of shooters/victims. 

NOW is the time where the rubber meets the road with Mr. Kaepernick! I would fully respect him and his "cause" if he kept going with it, but he's not, because he knows no team would take on his B.S. if he did.

Muhammad Ali was stripped of his title and missed out on 4 years of making millions for his stance. That, my friend, is why he is a hero and Kaepernick is not. THAT is the difference.....

It's all about the lack of free agent interest and money. Garbage QB's are worth millions per year. He could've signed an incentive based big contract based upon his talent. The Jets, bills, 9ers, Texas, broncos, bears, etc would've  kicked his tires but won't because he's more toxic than ray rice.

Nice to see most are of the same opinion really hoping he gets passed by all NFL teams and his career over let him see what life is like on the unemployment line maybe at some point he will realize just how good his country is.  All the military lives lost and he can't stand on his two feet.

I never understood what the Anthem had to do with the police?  With his platform he could've/could do it in a more direct manner involving something that relates directly to the police or educating folks about not breaking the law, etc.  Anything that makes sense.  This 'protest' just left itself open to too much criticism and missed his whole point to many people.

I dunno. He has a good skill set to start with. Hone up on reading defenses and get a little more accurate and he should be fine.

His skill set does not have anything to do with this thread.  He could not stand for the Flag and Anthem the entire year now all of a sudden he is a free agent wanting big dollars now he thinks he can stand next year for the Anthem.  When they present colors before any MLB game or NFL game those colors represent the USA and the soldiers that shed their blood and lives for and he can't stand up because of some imaginery stance more important than those soldiers and all of a sudden he wants millions as a free agent and he thinks now next year he will be able to stand for the Anthem.  Give me a break.

we should all bow down to big government and never tolerate any act, no matter how minor, nonviolent and trivial it may be, that casts any doubt on the idea that big government is perfect and loves us all and we owe every bit of respect to it.  dissent will not be tolerated.

to the extent that the flag symbolizes the usa, most of us should sit down because in fact, our country is run by people that don't give a garbage about most of us and enact policies that only serve themselves and their corporate donors.

to the extent that the flag symbolizes the military, we should all sit down because the military is largely used to fight useless conflicts that only serve to create more garbage and benefit the military industrial complex.  anyone who cares about the actual people in the military should have a huge problem with the way we use them.

and finally, if you are present for the national anthem at a game,. you should stand and pay homage to big government and using our soldiers as pawns for billion dollar military contractor profits.  but if you are at home or in a bar listening to it, it's perfectly fine to sit there in disrespect, continuing drinking your busch light and spilling nacho cheese on your shirt.

So what you are saying is you couldn't care less about your country and the stars and stripes means absolutely nothing to you it might if maybe your brother or sister had been killed fighting under that flag.  The rest you are talking about is just jibber jabber i have absolutely no respect for anyone who can not respect his country, anthem and flag.   I put you in the same garbage bag as that dirt bag QB.

i would say people who blindly support for their government and the people who put our soldiers at risk for no apparently reason other than $$ are the ones who have no respect for this country.  is that you?  i would say the people who recognize the faults in our government and the way our military is used and want to expose that are the people who truly love america, and can rub a few brain cells together.  that doesn't sound like you.

I do know one thing that having been around this forum for better part of 12 years start a thread and there will for sure be some assh*le to show up and start blabbering on.   Most in here are of the same opinion that the as* hole QB we are talking about is extremely self serving one year he is taking a stance and not standing for the flag and the national anthem then the following year his stance ends when he knows he is a free agent and if the stance doesn't end he will be out of a job period and not making his millions.  I know this is the third of fourth time in this thread I have mentioned all this but for you CLUBDIRT I thought I would mention it again because that is what this thread is about.
