It's early but it looks like the UK has a good chance of leaving the European Union

50.5% of voters so far in favor of leaving, and this is from a traditionally Labour party area which would be expected to be in favor of staying in the EU.

Glad I've already visited most of mainland Europe.  Who knows what it will be in 20 years

bookies in Europe gave the UK a 20% chance of bailing out.

We will see.....markets are already reacting, should have a final tally during the overnight

We should know by 3am.  This is a big week for investors world-wide.   Equities will tank if they leave and precious metals will surge.

All 3 major indexes rose today based on the early polling indicating that GB isn't going anywhere, but things look tighter than anticipated.  British pound tanked in after-hours action.

I'm sure Swish knows more than most of us.

Watch the currency...the LB/USD that will tell you what is happening.

The pair went from 1.50 earlier today down to almost 1.40 and now back to 1.45

Looks like a 50/50 from what I see...which is stronger than expected for sure.

I hope the leave wins, the EU is a bloated political mess and GB is really the second strongest member after Germany.

Now the LB is below 1.40 and even below 1.39, I read that this is the largest drop in the currency in one day since it started trading.

If the leave wins this, it will be similar to a -1000 favorite losing, all the big money was on remain at very juicy odds.

pollsters in the UK look like they got their figures spectacularly wrong like they did in the last election as well

so many political and economic repercussions from this, glad I don;t have any money in UK stocks anymore.

The US markets are not down nearly as much as the UK and Japan..

Lets see if that continues, I imagine the algos will be buying at the open because they know the FED will backstop these markets.

Armageddon, All the imbeciles who voted leave in the false fear of mass immigration have now left us in such an uncertain position it's terrifying.

Why the f-ck would you vote leave in the fear of mass immigration and Turkey joining the EU when we already have so many immigrants, Legal and Illegal in the country, The pound has plummeted, If Hillary is elected we will go to the back of the queue in terms of trade deals, ARMA-F-CKINGEDDON, Oh well who cares about a stable economy when you can stop a few thousand radical Muzzies from Syria coming in to prevent a future terrorist attack what with us having to deal with so many terror incidents, 1 terrorist attack in 10 years.

    Swish,

In the long-run, as WSC mentioned, it's going to be better for Britain.  No loner will the PIIGS be able to sponge off of you fellas.  If anything, Germany should follow suit.  Their best friend just bailed on them!

Things may appear grim now, but it's just a temporary setback for a brighter English future.  They'll eventually develop free trade agreements with its major trading partners; no doubt with the USA., but it's going to take some time.

Keep your head up.  All 3 major US indexes, as well as the Global Dow, are getting a taste of what's to come if Trump is elected.  We are no longer dealing with the status quo.  The artificially inflated market is coming to an end.  It's about time for it to readjust itself.

Cheers to the rest of the Gold Bugs out there that bet on this and saw it coming.  VGPMX should close fairly sexy today.  Randgold is up 12% and GoldCorp is up 6% in pre-market.

Glad you got what you wanted Bollox.  Ultimately, it's what's best for GB.

You really are a greedy person, as am I.  This is the time to capitalize

I'm really happy for them.  Those in doubt need to look at the big picture.

Down 5% means bargain hunt off near historic highs????

Show me down 40% and I might consider "bargain" hunting.

    Today is nothing at all...
