Take it at home when you're not anxious.   I had a major anxiety attack years ago and they actually hooked me up to an EKG because everything was so high.   Try to get a relaxed reading and go from there.   If you smoke, stop.   Within a few months of quitting smoking and drinking I saw my blood pressure go from elevated to optimal.

Lose some weight and stop eating garbage.  If you claim to be 5'9" 190 you are probably 5'6" 215.

Talk to your Dr.  Your body can over produce natural chemicals that will affect your heart and blood vessels.  When this happens your Dr will treat your high blood pressure with a beta-blocker medication.  It's very important to get on top of this ASAP.  You are at high risk for a stroke or even worse.

I take METOPROLOL SUCCINATE 50mg once a day.

Ease up on the coffee, drop to 175 lbs., and limit your salt intake. Take up yoga as well. For 27, you are way too injury prone. Whatever you do, do not let a doctor or anyone else con you into pills to regulate your BP. You are too young.

Quit drinking coffee, stop binge drinking, and lose 15 pounds via diet and exercise. Your BP will drop down to normal (125/80).

Alcohol binge will elevate your bp, especially your systolic. Anxiety of course will elevate as well but not for a consistent period of time unless you have chronic anxiety like me. Booze will create a false positive..
Don't drink for 30 days and your bp will plummet.
Avoid obsessing with your bp measure daily readings,, it will cause more anxiety.
Do not take corporate fuk medication, adjust your habits instead and relax.
    Take care.

    I've been 222 over 120. I lived unfortunately.
Take 2,000 mg of fish oil every morning after breakfast to dump your cholesterol and again deep six the booze. You will dramatic improvement in systolic number at 15 day mark.

Eat veggies for 70-80% of your diet, get on a regular exercise routine where you raise your heart rate 30 plus minutes a day and stick to it for 2-3 months and reduce drinking.

Eat veggies for 70-80% of your diet, get on a regular exercise routine where you raise your heart rate 30 plus minutes a day and stick to it for 2-3 months and reduce drinking.

Best bp reading you'll get is in the morning and/or after a dump. High fiber will do that. Exercise is key as well. Get that systolic down.

Did they take it more than once? I had a situation once at the Drs. where they were breaking in a newbie nurse......she took my bp & said it was 180/110......twice. They asked me about meds & I said no, my bp has always been ok. The lead nurse then tried it again with a different wrap & it was around 125/80........they had too small of a wrap around my rather behemoth bicep.()
I also found that those little kiosk bp jobs are no good either........kept getting around a 160-165/95-100.........but only 130/82 @the Docs. office.
All the above will help......exercise.....eating right......basically all the stuff we've been told to do for years.

Lol, the little med assistants always throw on a standard cuff on a 19 inch arm. Omg he's going die!
Your bp isn't sky rocket, it's reacting to alcohol temp.. keep boozing and it'll stay up. Then you have to eat bp meds until u learn. We all booze but
Some point your body will say no more, up to you.
    170 over 100 is a warning sign.
Bp meds u can't drink at all so pick your poison.

Taking bp in close intervals throws off the numbers. Just get some rest, your bp will drop bigtime while you sleep. When you rise, drink a glass of water, take a piss (important) and take a reading off of your left arm. Tranquilo.

    I have 2 observations ...
    1) you are not the Center on your team
    2) you are not hustling to get back on D

    1) Move out of mom's house
    2) retake and do it once on each arm
    3) Do u have a back up for the Fantasy league you're trying to put together?
