Frank Howard-another 60s home run hitter in the AL. His most common nickname was Hondo-but while playing for the always bad Washington Senators ("First in War, First in Peace, and Last in the American League")-they gave him a couple. Since he was so tall, one of the nicknames was The Washington Monument.
