Life is a Game......and it comes without instructions.
Live life to the fullest and make it count. Tell your Loved Ones how much they mean to you and do it often. Don't use "I'll get around to it" as an excuse.
Make your word your Bond....Be Courageous. Cowards and Quitters arent tolerated in any Outfit worth it's Salt. Any one can pilot the ship when the seas are calm.

And interesting and scary concept is that death represents only the loss of the body and that the mind continues if the energy to sustain it has been nurtured during life. If you nurture godly images with prayer and meditation then you exist in joined form of positive energy.. (Nirvani or heaven if you will) floating peacfully for all time but if you nurture negative energy during life you join the dark side(Hell) and are trapped in physical pain and mental anquish for eternity.
I have seen many men die and none seemed comfortable with it and 90% were scared shitless and in agony. It easy in life to say you don't fear death but in the throws of pain and the confusion that comes at the end as the physical body leaves..all I can say is I sure hope I'm asleep when I go.
Faith in the light for some is religion a belief in God and a natural order this helps calm many fears as one faces death but for others the non-believers it just represents the closing of a door and a silence and a darkness.
At 25 years old one can tease death with youthful bravado but at 75 the same man becomes respectful and timid as he faces his own mortality and can only hopes his beliefs are true.

Or maybe a blood splatter analyst.

Didn't mean to sound arrogant as most of the men I saw die in Vietnam were not dying peacefully in fact very few people are lucky enough to pass that way perhaps you will be one of those.
To me though it sounds much more arrogant to claim you have no fear of death. You must be very brave...goodluck with that when your time comes.

I'm not really afraid of death. There has to be more. I look at my kid and just can't imagine that we live on this Earth and than when we die we never see them again...it makes no sense.

I'm reading a book about the 99th division in WWII. One soldier described how he shot a German in the stomach. While he was still alive he searched him and stole all his valuables and just left him for dead.
Another Captain came along a dead German soldier in a wheelbarrow (spelling?). He saw that he had gold teeth and told his driver that he would come back later for the gold. When he drove back a few hours later, someone had already "harvested" the teeth. The Captain looked at his driver and said, "someone stole my gold."
There are plenty of things in life (and I'm guessing death) that maybe don't make sense.

My gal's grandmother was the same way. Breathing just shallowed until she just stopped. That was it.
Obviously, there are different levels of "peacefulness" when it comes to death. I don't think the guy in the service who ends up dying while he's attempting to put his insides back into his abdomen is experiencing a peaceful death.

This is me exactly. And being fairly introspective, it's a LOUD voice....one that I wish would be silent more often.
As for matter being transformed, it all depends. A body buried in the ground might decompose and transfer the energy to other living creatures. A body stuck in the ice in Antarctica might be frozen in time....but that potential energy would still be present.

Fearing death, being dead or fearing the process and circumstances of death is also two very different things. Nothing I would venture is prayed for more than a peaceful passing by those actually facing that door.
I wish even my enemies a peaceful death![]()
