Anyone Use UBER in Vegas?

I am heading to Vegas in a few weeks and would like to know how to not drop 500$ on cab fare while I am there.

I am from the sticks, so I have never used UBER, but hear it is a cost effective way to get around Vegas quickly. Anyone have  input?

ten x better than taxi.

 shuttle from airport is best. round trip is extremely good deal.

if you plan on seeing the pawn shops that are on tv then i would uber there

Thanks for the heads up...I read somewhere that they will not let UBER operate at the airport, but it has been awhile.

Staying off strip at the Rio for a few, Red Rock for a few and then Downtown for a couple....Can only do the strip in smaller doses these days....like a little value when I play, can't stand dropping 50 bucks on every little thing.

Any good input on happy hours, steakhouses, and places to get a little value are also much appreciated.

taxi drivers will know u are tourist take u long route to ur hotel and it will be around 25-35 w tip. =(

^ walking distance from rio for a decent 11-14$ bite per person, do not let the 3.5 stars scare u, this is one of the best places.

there is also free shuttle in the rio, just ask the valet or hotel check in to where they are (to goes to any harrahs owned casino on the strip) u just tip em 1-2$ , though most people do not even tip!!!

Uber or Lyft.  Will be WAY cheaper than a cab.  NEVER take a cab in Vegas.

Uber does not pick up from any Hotel&Casino in LV (cab stand) does not pick up from the Airport, are not economical in comparison to LV cab companys, and it is them who 'overcharge' tourist,(a known trait) they are stricly a local service, if you desire a Uber cab, then you'll have to be picked up on a street corner, or a private residence. LV is one of many U.S. cities where Uber has restricted use...anyone (including myself) will find that uber cab drivers are not only borderline retards who can't find a job anywhere, but also undesirables, who virtually no nothing about LV, can't find a logical way to the airport, let alone to the brothel in Pahrump (where as you'll be charged 3x that of a LV cab) do as your heart dictates, Uber is nothing more than a major pain in the azz when it comes to "taking a cab in Las Vegas"  have fun, enjoy your stay..may you prosper on the way

getting a good deal (airfare) with a great vacation package (3 days on the strip) is fine..looking for everything on the cheapside to accomodate your needs is a distraction to say the least, "you're on a vacation in Vegas, and you're concerned about LV taxi service" solution: WALK or take the BUS......and forget about 'Airport shuttle' service, since when? maybe 30 years ago...truly; if you're looking for cheap, then LV is not for you, give North Las Vegas a ring, Iam sure they can accomodate the 'cheapside' unfortunately, Uber doesn't operate their...

I agree that Vegas isn't the place for cheap....it really is more of a mood thing with me. Don't mind paying for things at all, but my demeanor deteriorates when it is rip off after rip off after rip off...and I have had some brutal beats in Vegas cabs over the years. So I figured I would ask about Uber as a possible solution. That is all...

As for my travel package, Allegiant Air flies direct out of Missoula MT to Las Vegas....certain times of year it is damn near free to go there...when coupled with other comps I receive it makes for a fun time.

One more thing....I have been to Vegas 20+ times over the years, so don't EVER tell me to go hang out in North Vegas. That is just flat mean.

The Rio and our sister properties, Bally's/Paris and Harrah's Las Vegas on the Strip, offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the Rio.  Please note: the shuttle only runs from the Rio to Bally's/Paris or Harrah's Las Vegas, not from Bally's/Paris to Harrah's Las Vegas or vice versa.  The shuttle runs daily from 10am to 1am.  Pick-up times are approximately every 30 minutes from each location (depending on traffic conditions).

Pick-Up Locations:
Rio: Carnival World Buffet entrance
Bally's: Race and Sports Book entrance (side of Flamingo Rd)
Harrah's Las Vegas: Shuttle/Bus/Trolley drop off

Looking forward to the trip...the last time I was there was 2 years ago and had a great time with the wife...taking the wife and a few of her friends this time, so I am looking to actually get to play a bit more than in the past.

I will be there during the Olympics and was holding out hope I could bet on some rugby, swimming and hoops....not sure if there is anywhere in town that does the Olympics betting, so if not no biggie.

I like that 7-7 rugby though.....

Yeah, pizza is one of my favorites...but when you are 37, it can be tough to digest that much dough in dry 100+ heat. Need to stay light and spry...at least for a few days.

You will be 10 minutes from Gold Coast,, I highly recommend noodle express over ping pang ping. Express has delicious hot pots and noodles, was disappointed w/ ppg food quality

Sports-Network- You ever take someone on the Interstate to get to the other end of the Strip or Downtown? You ever pick someone at the Train/Bus station downtown who wanted the Strip and cram someone else going to Fremont and charge the total fare to the 2nd?
