I disagree.  Take off the blinders.  The world is turning upside down.  Natural disasters, economies on the verge of collapse, and other possible threats.  Just saying.  Things can change in a flash

I don't think these people are prepping for the end of the world.  But more so hard times.  Hard times that with time we can overcome. dying of starvation is not a fun thing. Just better to be prepared.

people like earthWake probably wouldnt last one day if he found himself in a rough spot, or had to get a meal where he couldnt whip out a credit card. sad really.

I'm pretty hardcore.  I have a 12 gauge and a 40 call with 3000 rounds of ammo.  Also have enough food to last me a year.  Call me crazy but better safe then sorry.  I live in Chicago which has the potential to be very rough if things go wrong.  So I feel it is a must for me.

nice Jeff. we have guns and ammo too...... definatly could use more too.

 

 

i got 1 up on you though i bet, when we moved out to this area in TN we couldnt get city water out here, so we had to dig a well to run water to our house.  The city has since expanded a little and we are now on the city pipeline, but ive still got that well in working order just in case, just in case.

 

yea Chicago ( any big city) would be rough in, definatly have to go towards the outskirts of town

Hold em,  Just make sure that you can get that well going by hand in case of power loss.  Good thing to have a well  Water is the most important thing.

 The family in Tejas that built the "compound" out of shipping containers has gone a bit off the deep end. Nothing wrong with being prepped, but to dedicate your remaining life to nothing but storing food & running drills is hardly living. The look on that kids face after shooting the assault rifle.............he's got mass murder written all over him.

 But I suppose if the inevitable end-of-the-world happens in their lifetime they'll be laughing harder than I will.
