As if the online gaming world offshore couldnt get any more precarious with credit card processors being easily hacked daily, now they are figuring out how to hack into bitcoin accounts.

 Bitcoin did not got hacked. What they are saying in the article is that the ransomware hackers used bitcoin to accept payments, not that bitcoin got hacked. 

Also just fyi, you can't "hack" bitcoin. Bitcoin is basically just the technology, you gain nothing by hacking bitcoin. Hackers can try to hack into the bitcoin wallets that store the bitcoins like coinbase but its the same as anything online such as hacking into someone's email account. It's possible but of course its up to the wallet provider for their security and 90% of the time when someone's wallet got hacked, it's noob user error/safety.
