squirrel pot pie

2-3 medium squirrels (2-3 cups)

diced cup each of carrots, potatoes, celery + onion

1/4 cup of butter

1/2 cup flour

2.5 cups chkn broth

cup of half and half

1/4 cup white wine

1/2 cup of frozen peas

2 nine inch pie crusts

you should boil your squirrels until tender (can hand pull of the bone after cooled) Cook your veggies in a skillet with the butter and your favorite seasonings. When they are tender, sprinkle the flour over them and mix well for one minute or so. Then pour in the chkn broth, wine and half+half. Keep on a medium flame until this heavenly concoction becomes bubbly and thickens. Add the frozen peas and squirrels. Get an IRON skillet and place one pie crust in the bottom (after rubbing liberally with butter). Pour contents of other pan into this one, and cover with the other pie crust. Bake at 425 degrees for approx 40 minutes until golden brown.

That cook obviously knows what he/she is doing with the sauce.

Probably tastes good.

Fried, she had a wood stove till prolly the late 70's, granted i've modified the recipe, but that's what one is supposed to do

her apple jelly was    along with everything else she made...

Would enjoy some more of her recipes if you got any.  She's a pro

Should we try this?

Did she say what kinda squirrel?

Young one?  Male or female?

Which tastes better?

i swear it's just a chkn pot pie recipe, i was just feeling goofy when i posted this. Fried, i'll see what else i can find, though my personal squash casserole is the bombdiggity.
