to me it comes off as its way better than fast food in general...stating they arent. i can see how people can interpret it as we are the best fast food or we are better than fast food in general....one is fine other is tough

you guys dont get what I mean do you???

Just look at what I wrote...its very simple.

I am stating that there is a population here in the US that will treat that statement as this food is now healthier/no longer fast food or something to that sort.

I have a background in this field and im quite confident in my statement. Do you really think that Wendy's is advertising to the middle class? Get real

Middle class, No class, upper class, welfare....what does that have to do with them saying IT IS BETTER THAN FAST FOOD??...There are plenty of lower class people that would understand that they are not talking about health. Since when does income declare how smart you are? wtf? Let's say they are advertising to the lower class, what does that have to do with them not getting the message wendy's is saying? are they not smart enough because they are lower class? because they are on welfare? wtf?

If you think Wendy's is not fast-food because of their slogan then you're a fool. And if people actually believe this then they deserve to die early.

samuel...my point is that there is a direct correlation to low income and education level. Facts are there to back it up. With that said, there are many people out there who do NOT understand what healthy food is, and dont have the knowledge with regards to it, other than just "fried foods are bad". Guys like you and me know probably much more than they do.

Because of that, a statement like this will be misleading to some of those people.

Go talk to all the people who work at WIC or something along those lines. They can back me up im sure.

its not as if they offically declare Wendy's healthy, but this type of slogan can cause some of those individuals to rethink their thoughts and deem Wendy's as at least more acceptable.

These low income low education level people are constantly under the efforts of being taught at places, such as WIC on how to use their money, or food stamps etc. You would be SHOCKED at the stories I hear from people who work at these places and how LITTLE some people know.

Thats my point .

People like you me and the majority can figure out whats up here...but Wendy's has missed the boat on a major section of their population.

crus, i just didnt think without them ever mentioning health that the perception would be that wendy's is now all of a sudden healthier because of a slogan that in my opinion has nothing to do with health in the first place. They arent saying WENDYS
"way better for you than fast food its WENDY'S"

if that was the slogan i think you'd have a huge point. They can't say their own food is tastier [BETTER] than fast food? I guess we'll have to agree to disagree

its way better than fast food its Wendys...

that statement makes it sound like they are trying to say they are not fast food...for example

way better than frozen pizza...Mario's pizza...or something like that...

Yeah but it's like me saying, people are gonna think the pizza isn't frozen, meanwhile it's in the freezer section.

No one that I've ever seen in my life has thought fast food was healthy...ive hung out with some people with no funds, to people with large funds...never ran into someone that thought fast food [wendys, taco bell, burger king, mcdonalds, sonic, carls jr, hardees, in n out, roy rogers[do those still exist], you get my point] were healthy.

Just like you are prob. gonna say how can someone see pizza in the frozen section and say its not frozen...

how can someone go to a fast food restaurant and think they are eating healthy?

a slogan which doesnt mention health couldnt possibly change that perception in my opinion.

who knows samuel, and I do agree that no one thinks the food is a "healthy place to go", but I do think the statement might lead people to think its not as bad..

I am not a fan after the other day, i almost never get Burker King but i had it the other day and it was gross, and i got sick that night, the onion rings seem to be left out for a while and were not warm, of course i was super hungry so i just heated them up and dipped them in teh sauce and ate them but obviously i regret it now...
