I don't know if there is a thread about this, I didn't bother to look. I saw this at the sporting goods store for $30. Anybody have any experience with this or have any comments about it?

I don't know. This is the one that fits on top of the door frame to do pull ups and you can also purchase the ab straps for 10 bucks more that let you do abs. Pretty cool I think. There is a decent gym close to me but its also good to have equipment to work out at home I think, if you're pressed for time.

They're not bad. I think there's a newer one with more grip positions. Ideally if you have room, a pullup/chinup, leg raise and dip station is nice. You can usually find them for $50 or less on Craigslist.

I should have gone that route Longshot but I got the Irongym instead because I had a credit at the sporting goods store. I did get the Xtreme version which has a couple more handles on it for wide grips for $10 more.
I have had this about a week now. If you are used to doing lat pulldowns in the gym as part of your back routine, this is hard as hell. I'm surprised at how few pullups/chinups I can do and the wide grip angles are near impossible for me.
This fits securely at the top of the door frame and holds up to 300lbs. I say securely, that is if you don't swing on it or do your pullups with a rocking motion.
