grilled with a little mustard and MY Cole Slaw.
 
Toast the bun on the grill also. Potato Salad or chips on the side.

The only way to eat hot dogs is with my mom's homemade hot cabbage.

Okay, I have actually put some thought into this.  What's nice with a hot dog is very, very finely, finely chopped relish, slaw, or chili.  Nothing chunky.  Want it finely clean with square edges.
 
Only have three choices..... slaw, chili, or "neat"
 
If want to get creative, would consider shredded cabbage/slaw underneath the dog
 
As far as chili, it's more of a chili relish than a chunky chili.  And to your liking ApacheM, no beans of course

Those sound more like Milwaukee bratwurst condiments.  Sauerkraut is great with a bratwurst.  The best hot dog is a Chicago Style hot dog.

best hit dogs at ohio stadium.buckeye dogs with brown stadium mustard. you can get the same in cleveland browns home.
