Bison Steaks

Anybody eat this stuff?  Picked some up at Costco the other day.  8 oz. NY strip bison steaks (High Plains).  It was 4 steaks (8 oz.) for about 18 bucks.  Haven't tried this before.  I guess I'll keep it simple and grill as instructed.  Anyone try these?  Any cooking tips? 

supposed to be very healthy.  I have eaten it before but never cooked it.

My only suggestion is to either follow the instructions that are given or just treat it like any other steak.

No bison steaks in Denmark but lots of regular steak. I hear bison is healthy meat.

Yeah that's why I want to try it.  A little more expensive, but not too bad.  If it tastes good then it might be worth it to go that route at home a lot.  Lookin forward to trying it.

Update: had it tonight....and quite frankly it was

Some of it was chewy.  Just had kind of a strange taste.  Gamey.  I mean, I ate most of it, it was edible I suppose, just nothing to write home about.

If I want a lean steak, just gimme a good trimmed filet mignon and call it a day.

I don't know if the same principles apply, but bison is buffalo, not deer.  But it was bloody, so maybe this would work.  Then again, wow, that looks like a whole lotta work.  I'm way too lazy for that.
