NOT a big "futball" fan and don't really know the "in's and out's" BUT that was like calling a penalty shot with 2 minutes to go in a Stanley Cup elimination game. I saw a LOT worse during the game go uncalled.

Las Vegas sportsbooks with a sigh of relief. I am sure they were over-run with Mexico sides today AND Mexico future was 100-1 to start the tourney and 25-1 after they made the knockout round

btw, anyone else get annoyed by the Mexican "homer" announcers on ESPN? those two guys were so obviously biased it was ridiculous

Dude, the refs were siding with mexico the whole match. Robben was getting mugged and fouls were rarely called. Robben just upped his acting kob to make sure that he draws the penalty on that one.

What are you complaining about. The Reffing was fair, both sides got their share of calls. Its like the NBA, when one team is getting to many calls the ref adjusts
