    Flex: Hillis

Standard scoring league with 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 Flex:

QB: Freeman or Stafford (play each other in Tampa)
RB: Charles, Blount, Tolbert, Hightower, Reggie Bush
WR: Roddy, Bowe, Austin, Burleson, Julio Jones
TE: I have Winslow but Pettigrew and Kendricks are available
DEF: I need to pick one up: NYG, DET, ATL, AZ

Damn you have some tough decisions.

Almost think I have to see how many return opportunities a game Ammendola is getting before I'd start him.
Afraid Harvin's lost return duties but he could still have a monster year anyway. Especially in PPRs.
So 2 of the 3 between S. Johnson, Dez, & Harvin. I'll have to think about which 2 for a little bit.
Think you're right starting Hillis in the flex.

    For your standard league:
    QB: Stafford
RB: Charles & Blount (Hightower is worth consideration)
    WR: R. White & ?
TE: If you do start Blount I might think about Kendricks just so you aren't starting a ton of guys from 1 game.
D: Cardinals in Cam Newton's first start

Austin has missed the entire preseason injured and going against Revis. Pass.
Matt Cassel with bruised ribs worries me. Not like he has any arm strength anyway, so I worry he might not be able to get it downfield to Bowe.
No on Burleson for the reason you don't want too many people from 1 game.
So I guess maybe give Julio a shot.

Of course, if you wanted to play Hightower instead of Blount, then I think starting Winslow or Pettigrew at TE or Burleson at WR becomes an option.

Just depends who the RB & WR are.

You have to go with Ingram here. Don't think it's close right now. Just not sure how much of a role Eddie Royal will have in the offense. Besides, Ingram's upside is far greater.

Nice to have 2 backs like Rice & Mendy.
This is about as tough a matchup as either will have all year, but I still think you start them both. Talked about Mendy on page 1 of this thread. I could break down Rice's performances against the Steelers the last couple years but he's simply too a big part of that offense to sit.

Start V Jack. Looked liked he and Rivers were in a nice preseason rythmn.
Probably can't go wrong with Bryant or Holmes.
That Cowboys secondary sucks and looks like Terrence Newman might be out. Can definitely see a big game from Holmes.
Will give a slight lean to the Dez though. It's believed Revis will shadow Austin so Bryant should be Romo's primary target.

Go with Hernandez at TE. Can't play any Panthers pass catchers, even Olsen, until Newton get at least a couple games under his belt.

Sorry to say it but for the most part those are some crappy PPR RBs.
Bradshaw is the only solid PPR back in the group, hauling in 47 balls last year. He could be worth a start against the Skins.
While I recommend staying with Mendy against the Ravens in standard leagues, I'd probably sit him a PPR.
Neither Wells or Williams will be involved in the passing game, but I think I like Wells a little more in this matchup.
So I guess go with Wells & Bradshaw. Really close between all 4.

Easily Manningham for your 3rd WR.
AJ Green could have some PPR value but wait on him.
    Floyd's too inconsistent for me.
Brown's definitely a wait and see. He could wind up as the #4WR behind Emmanuel Sanders.

Like Hernandez even more in PPR leagues.

    PPR question..

i can start a TE in my flex spot.. Would you start Kendricks over rbs like Tolbert, Shonn Greene, BGE,?

I am starting S. Moss over M. Austin(that move is fine.?) and my other recievers on the bench are L. Evans and Earl Bennett..

Who to start at flex..? I would have Kendricks and Witten acitve at the same time..

    Also a Standard league question..

    Kendricks or Hernandez at TE..?

How do you feel about starting the same player in 2 different leagues..? I am drinking the Kendicks Kool Aid and want to get him active in both my leagues.. Is the hype blinding or is this the move to make..?

thanks for taking the time to give your opinions.. good stuff..!

thx for the input stuart , i picked 10th in the ppr league and went wr/wr to start , mendenhall was there at 30 and i figured i needed to get a back at that point, took bradshaw at 31

In my smaller league, I have Peyton and my only other QB is Orton.  I want to pick up Cutler but not sure who to drop: Garcon, Moore, McGahee or just let Peyton go??

Also, in that league who to start at TE: Olsen, Kendricks, Zach Miller, Cook, or Cooley.  People started grabbing backups before I took a TE so got slim pickings.  I drafted Cook because I think he has an upside but not sure if I should roll with him out the gate.

Based on the preseason Kenricks clearly looks like Bradford's guy, but I like to take a wait and see approach on rookies. Don't rush him into the lineup yet.

Tolbet should make a decent PPR back because he'll play in passing situations (GL work as well).

Moss is a pretty good WR in PPR leagues. Smart decision to play him instead of Austin who hasn't played this preseason and will visit Revis Island on Sunday.

Bennett will lead the Bears in receptions and make a good PPR option for you as well.

Really like Hernandez this year but if you want to take a chance on Kendricks in one league this week, I understand. This would be a much better situation to start him than in your PPR.

I would've even have Heath Miller on my team right now. He's more of a blocking TE than a pass catcher. There has to be TEs with more upside available in your league. Regardless if you drop him or not, start Cook.

When McFadden's healthy I don't think I could start Michael Bush. Looking at your bench though, there aren't many other options. You might have to go with Bush by default. The only person I'd think about would probably be his teammate Jacoby Ford but he missed the entire preseason.

I won't play any Panthers pass catchers right now. Newton has to get a little experience first. So rule Olsen out.
Same sort of deal with Zach Miller. QB play in Seattle appears too awful.
Not sure Cooley's even playing week 1. Forget him.
Probably going to have to take the chance with Cook or Kendricks.
Which one is your guess lol.
Eagles were 5th in most pts allowed to TEs last year, for whatever that counts for.
Jags secondary sucks but they did spend at linebacker in the offseason.

Would you suggest the same for me?  The free agents available don't look great though....

Here are the top ten QB's free agents available in my league (top ten set by yahoo).

    Tebow

    Gabbert

    Locker

    Dalton

    Ponder

    Kaepernick

    Flynn

    Young

    Kitna

    Collins

    Tebow-3rd string I think

Gabbert-Backup/will get his chance at some point this year

Locker-Doubt he plays at all this year

    Dalton-At least he starts

Ponder-Backup/ could get chance second half of season

    Kaepernick-Backup/very raw

    Flynn-Backup/Not unless Rodgers gets hurt

    Young-Backup/Not unless Vick gets hurt

    Kitna-Backup/Not unless Romo gets hurt

Collins-At least he starts; most experienced of group

Collins & Dalton are your only options. Since Collins is the FAR more experienced of the two, and has more weapons around him, he'd be the guy I picked up.

That's the way I was leaning with the options I had available.  Thanks for your help.  My team is in disarray..... haha. Foster is injured, hopefully just for this weekend.

12-team league, looking for my starter at the flex this week. Non-PPR league.

Julio Jones (@ CHI), Brandon Jacobs (@ WASH) or Marcedes Lewis (v. TEN)

Other starters: Josh Freeman, Greg Jennings (14 pts), Mike Wallace, Ray Rice, Knowshon Moreno, Antonio Gates

Jennings started things off well for you.

Not a Marcedes Lewis fan and think last year was pretty flukey. He just had too few receptions for me to expect any sort of repeat performance.

I like to wait a game or two with rookies, if possible, before I start them.
Jacobs has faired well in his career against the Redskins so I'd lean towards him. Don't think Julio's a bad either though.

Need some serious advice.... PPR League No extra points for return yards..... I have 3 sit em RB's in Michael Turner, Felix Jones, Moreno as well as a TE dilema with Pettigrew or Kendricks.....

    QB: A-Rodgers

WR: Brandon Lloyd, Santonio Holmes, Mario Manningham, Pierre Garcon, Mike Thomas, Devery Henderson (already played didn't start)

RB: Turner, Felix, Moreno, LT, Ingram (already played didn't start)

    TE: Pettigrew, Kendricks

    Starters as of now:
    QB: Rodgers
    RB1: Turner?
    RB2: Moreno?
    WR1: Brandon Lloyd
    WR2: Santonio Holmes
    WR/RB: Mario Manningham
    TE: Pettigrew?
    K: Nate Kaeding
    DEF: Jets

Is there a better way to go?
