In a 12-team league, got the #2 pick tonight. Scoring is slightly different than normal in that 20 passing yards is 1 point, and passing TD are worth 6. Assuming Foster goes 1st, do you take Aaron Rodgers there? Or do you still take a RB? Not a PPR league.

Say you let Rodgers go, round 2 or 3 you could grab (assuming Brady/Brees get taken before you have a chance), Newton, Stafford or Ryan (I think Ryan breaks out this year). Net net, the drop off after Rodgers isn't steep.
Say you Rice go, round 2 or 3 you could grab (charles, turner, jackson, etc). Net Net, Foster, Rice are the top two backs and are in a league of their own. Not picking one of them up is a big mistake.

My thinking is you go with Rice and here is why.

Say you let Rodgers go, round 2 or 3 you could grab (assuming Brady/Brees get taken before you have a chance), Newton, Stafford or Ryan (I think Ryan breaks out this year). Net net, the drop off after Rodgers isn't steep.

6 points is huge for QB's. I am not all that high on Rice this year. The Ravens O-line is not as strong compared to last year. Losing Grubbs is going to hurt, especially when they didn't pick up his replacement in the draft or free agency. The Ravens are saying they are giving Flacco more freedom to call plays from the line. The emergence of Torrey Smith will give him confidence to audible out of the vanilla running plays that Cam Cameron usually calls. On top of all that, Rice got paid. I think everyone is buying Rice high right now, especially at #2. I like Foster at 1, and Rodgers at 2. Just my 0.02. Good luck TRoe.
