Year long?  Not that I know of.  Yahoo is better than CBS for NHL....but that's not saying much.  Google 'Dynasty Leagues'   I've come across a few sites for baseball that last for 5 years or more and are active year round with roster moves and deadlines.  You may find something there.

We do a fantasy hockey league every year through yahoo.  Then we just use leaguesafe.com to deposit money and give it out to the winner at the end of the year.  We have one canadian in our league.  Not sure if that's what type of league you're talking about.  If you want to get in our league I can see if there are openings...I think there are 2 this year.
