After looking at this game more, I have locked in Western Michigan +3. I had to look at WM, as I think that they will be the more motivated team here and will take advantage of the pourous Rice defense. Western Michigan is the play for me.

rice is a machine on offense - for those of you that havent seen clement/dillard...you're in for a treat.  wmich is 97th in the nation vs the pass, and actually 10th in passing offense.  rice is 5th in passing offense, and 114th in pass defense.  i didnt realize wmich threw the ball this well.  going large now on the over.

public all over rice at 70%, yet the line has been a solid 2/2.5 since the open.  if this line drops at all tonight, wmich may be the right play (for those that cant cap the side).  fyi - i really only look at the public betting trends/odds this closely when i cant come up with a play on my own.  i'm prob just going heavy on the over, but figured to throw out this info for you guys.

XtraG8t - both of these teams have only been in 2 bowl games in forever.... wouldn't that mean both are really motivated... I'm just not sure of the logic?  Take W.Michigan and be happy with the end result.  Sharp

the line movement scares me in this game but i love rice.  they are playing very well right now and just think there offense is too much  gonna be a shootout til the half then i think they pull away

Why bother with the side on this one guys. IMO just play the over and watch them wear out the turf in the cozy confines of Reliant! Too many stats to put up backing the over and the only thing to keep it UNDER would be turnovers, and as we all know you cant predict turnovers. I really couldnt see betting the under with any confidence. Gotta see what the local has first. What have you guys gotten for a Total? BOL to all of us.

After further look, WMU does play SOME D, Rice really doesnt have one. I dont know how WMU travels though, because its basically a home game for the Owls.Bol to all of us

I am a MAC Alumni n I do believe that the weak conference has made Ball St., C Mich, No. Ill, and W Mich look better than they are. Of course Ball St. all most went undefeated but think how they did beat up on W. Mich 45-22. Ball St. is a passing team much like Rice. Just some food for thought. Im on Rice.
