Same old crew...Hello everyone.
 
Wake all the way...Just to hard to best against them.
 
Baylor hasnt played well at home against good teams...Take a look at there last 4 games when they were DD Home Dogs, they didnt cover (i.e. Buff, Tex, OK ST...)...Then you have to ask yourself, do you put Wake in the same Catagorie as those teams??? I do, if anything these guys got better...
 
Then again, WF's 7-1 ATS hasnt been against DD spreads...But im not going to play the Devils Advocat here...Its College Football. There will be upsets, but not tonight...

No Big Daddy for a while....he is tending to his wife who had emergency surgery earlier in the week.....It won't be the same starting another football season without him.....

Anyway   so happy football season has arrived!!!

i'm taking Baylor +11.5......this game is going to be Vegas money maker today because everybody is hopping on Wake....i'm from winston and i'm not buying the hype

To those talking about home field advantage...Ive seen my Aggies play the cubs in Waco, and I've gotta say...Baylor has no home field advantage. Worst fans in the Big XII.

I am on Wake -6.5 first half and -11.5 for the game. I think that Baylor and the new unconventional offence is gonna make some key mistakes early and late.

Wake Forest -10.5 (1 unit) vs. Baylor - the Deacons come into this season ranked in the preseason top 25 for the first time ever.  They have had two decent years back-to-back after being the whipping boys for the rest of the ACC the previous century.  The Baylor Bears have 9 players returning on the offensive side of the ball.  Unfortunately it doesn't matter how many returning starters they have, last year they were one of the worst teams for PPG on offense and defense.  Speaking of defense, Wake has 9 starters returning to the 27th overall defense from last year and probably the best secondary in the country.  They should easily control the game, but the only thing holding me back is the revamped O-Line and WR corps.  This is a great pick to get my feet wet at the start of a new season.  Also keep in mind the public is also on Wake at around 68% (depending on where you look) with some reverse line movement from Vegas.  Other things to note:  Wake is 0-11 all-time in the state of Texas... Baylor ended last season 0-8 SU and 2-6 ATS... this is the first game for new Bears HC Art Briles.

I will pass on this one for sure. But notes to consider in this game. Baylor will play with lots of emotion, as Briles has bright them a ray of hope, and for the first time Baylor has gained some confidence, they are home and getting points. Beware, but with that said, it is a new system, one that basically has no playbook and fly by seat of pants. One thing to consider the Houston team had a special QB in Kevin Kolb who ran the system from Briles at Stephenville high, so he had a capable QB to run the complex system from Day 1. There was a drop off and adjustment under Case Keenum at Houston, started slow, as Houston New QB's moved the ball, but it was sloppy until settled in. I could see Baylor hanging close due to emotion of the game, but Turnovers cost them this game, and I think the line is very well set as this will probably see Wake pull away at end on turnover and back door cover. But I'm not touching, as Baylor will be sky high. Good Luck.
