Taking USF $ line parlayed with Louiville $ line tommorow night. If I win tonight  (i'm fairly confident in) no additional out of pocket with action. I really like  a couple games Sat and want to be conservitive until then. Plus a +180 payout on two solid plays.

I'll be taking Rutgers for a few reasons tonight.  First off, they were embarrassed twice in their last two home games, they cannot lose 3 home games in a row with a tough home crowd.  Secondly, they were last years Cinderella team, they know what USF is facing this year with pressure and can handle it.  Thirdly, the names Ray Rice and Mike Teel, both explosive players on offense, Rice even being a preseason Heisman candidate.  Lastly, USF needs to come back to Earth eventually right?  Rutgers has the better defense, and they are equally good on offense.  The public has been all over this team, SportsInsights have them listed at 72% so far.  That number was close to 90% earlier in the week, and that was even when the line was bigger at USF -3.  It is slowly falling and currently sits at -2 or even -1.5 depending on where you look.  Taking the home dog on Thursday nights is usually a good thing too, something which I didn't comprehend last week during my first Thursday night loss.

I watched S. Florida beat Auburn in person. Auburn had its chances to win, but S. Florida is the real deal. Plain and simple, Jim Leavitt outcoached Tommy Tuberville in that game. I saw one team play with fire and intensity while the other team went through the motions and lost. I've had the opportunity to watch USF on two different occassions this season and each time they played at the same level that I coveted when they beat Auburn. USF is attempting to stake it's territory on the map and in the state of Florida. It doesn't want the reputation of being just another Florida directional school, and they are playing like a team with nothing to lose ... even though they really have everything to lose with a loss that could cost them the Big East and a BCS bowl bid. I'm sticking with USF until I see reason to do otherwise.

This game is so even looking at this season's numbers alone. Yes home field can be an advantage but after suffering 2 back to back home losses if they happen to get down early the crowd could turn into a non-factor or even a disadvantage real quick.
 
I think that USF has a lot of momentum built up right now and a coach that really really wants to win. Yeah I know most coaches want to win but this team seems very tight.
 
I think this gives the edge to USF and we don't see a top 10 team fall tonight.

South Florida certainly is worthy of their ranking.  Beating Auburn at Auburn is tough any year.  Beating West Virginia anywhere is a damn good win.  They have had a far tougher schedule than Rutgers has had.  Only thing that scares me about this game is the fact that it is in-conference, at Rutgers, and on national TV.  For that reason, my play is:

I like RUTGERS in this game. They will play loose and with nothing to lose. South Florida will have alot of pressure being #2 for the first time and know they have alot to lose. RUTGERS will run the ball and control the clock. PLAY RUTGERS + 2 and the UNDER 52.5
