Sorry to interrupt the thread but wondering if someone could tell me what the RSI is next to some of the names? I've made 5 picks since I joined the thread and all won, which probably means I'll lose my next 10! I didn't know if the RSI was an indication of people's picks or if there is a way of tracking individual users picks? I notice a lot of messages that comment on how well someone has done or not done and was just curious as to how they get that information? Sorry for the bandwidth.

Some members enter the free contest here on covers and make picks....the more stars they have the better they are picking.

I personally don't do it...nothing against it but for me I just don't have enough time to study my picks that I wager on and still try to put in time to study games in a contest that I don't have any money on.

No problem. Just go to the scores or NCAAF on this site. There is an orange box at the top right of each match up. Click & pick.

It rates your picks world wide.

First off let me say this is my first post, although I have been following you guys for some time and for the most part.. DOING WELL.

One question, JangoMd almost NEVER goes with the group and bets against ALWAYS from what I seen. What is the deal? Respectable member or what?

MIAOH are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 meetings. ill take my chances on the hawks minus the points.primetime espn game. the O should roll but confident laying the field goal. big baskets tonight as well.

I know the bigleast conf is unpredictable and frustrating big d so it might have uconn hanging tough just because...

Uconns tough at home big d...on the road wouldn't take them against a local high school team.   I see them hanging tough possibly pulling off late win.  I'll be there so gotta throw some coin on them!!!!Good luck whichever way you go!!!

Mia may be a slight trap. B green is 4th in the nation in takeaways and mia qb is int prone. Mia cant stop the run. Bgreen has a decent back who is probable. The safest may be the ov as neither team really stops anyone from scoring. Smoke a bowl of green and ov for the degenerate midweek plat. GLTA

howdy folks!! been watching this site for a number of years, just now posting for the first time. really appreciate all the helpful info i have received as well. i especially like to hear what big daddyhp has to offer along with several more peoples info. look forward to sharing some of mine.

for tonight:    here are a few trends that interested me

miami oh is 4-1 ats against a team with a losing record

bg is 1-6 ats at home against team with winning record

as far as the totals go:

under is 4-0 in  ats   last 4 games for miami oh

over is 4-1 in bg"s last 5 home games against team with winning road record


therefore staying away from totals!!!

going with miami oh -3

I'm a newbie also and have similar case with W8LIFTER.  Of course that is not to say who is more respectable.  I'd recommend reading everyone's post and take in what makes sense to you.  I think go with your own feeling is the best.

Guys, I know this subject is not for this threat but I need some opinions.  My uncle who has been betting for 15 yrs or so believes that NFL, College FB, and NBA are all rigged.  Just bet against the money movement to win.  The reasons are below
1. Football coach controls QB and where the ball goes.  Football team owner control the coach.  Most football team owners also own portions of casinos.
2. Any QB or football players that ever went against coaches' decision were banned from football or something would happened to them.

Your thoughts are valuable on this one.

LOL i'm not sure about this because i personally can say i have betted just about ever way possible you can think of and shit happens.. i don't think vegas calls coaches and says you must fumble the ball on the two yard line and your defensive back has to be paralized from the neck down in this game and your qb has to pull a hamstring... and a late intereption returned for t.d are a blocked f.g are a fumble returned for t.d.... sorry just my oppion

Bowling Green +3 small for no reason other than home dog, the % of people on MIA, and that I'm going to the Pitt BBall game and refuse to lay 25 to bet on that!

Yo Lefty, hope all is well.  Haven't posted much recently, but agree completely about UCONN and my Panthers tomorrow.  I'm staying away and hoping for the win.  Pitt has played well recently, but that never lasts too long!  They could play like shit any or all of their remaining games (3 of 4 on the road too).  Although I must say Tino Sunseri has come a long way since that Miami debacle.

You think Calhoun gets Kemba and the boys dancing again this year?  The Beast is wide open!

No, I don't think it's rigged. Once in a while, you may find a crooked ref or player, but as for the outcomes of most games, when you factor in the spread, it's almost a random event. Monday night came down to one play.  Last night a late kick return for NIU made the difference. The conspiracy would have to be too wide to fix games. Everybody makes money by keeping them honest. Vegas just has to balance their action to make 10% on every game. Why risk killing such a golden goose?
