I took a hit with Temple tonight in the first half and trying to find something to get me back up...I might just ride along with you on this one.

Makes you wonder about the kinds of monies that are at stake when the OHIO QB gets the nod at game time. Like they didn't know if he was going to start after getting punched in the gourd two weeks ago. Temple shit the bed, but that was some interesting line stuff with that game.
On Miami OH again this week. Hard to believe they are on again mid week. Need some serious come back after some bad plays early. Rally caps anyone?

It's been about as bad as it gets for Akron Zips as with two games left on the schedule, they have yet to win a game this college football season. While the underlying numbers don't look nearly that bad, the number that counts looks like a zero, of course that's the number in the win column. Patrick Nicely has completed just 48.7 percent of his passes this season for 1,360 yards with seven touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Alex Allen and Nate Burney split time in the backfield with Allen averaging 4.7 yards per carry for a total of 645 yards and six touchdowns while Burney has 443 yards. Jeremy LaFrance leads the Zips in receiving with 31 for 410 yards and five touchdowns and then there is a sharp drop off to Gary Pride, Jalil Carter, and Alex Allen who are all in the high teens in receptions. The defense has been on the field an awful lot this year and considering that they haven't been overly terrible but at the same time, they haven't been too solid either. For the season Akron is averaging 15.1 points and 257.8 yards per game while allowing 38.8 points and 437.6 yards each time out.
The Miami (OH) Redhawks are bowl eligible and after the disaster that was last season, it's clear that this team is headed in the right direction. Zac Dysert has completed 64.7 percent of his passes for 2,406 yards with 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Thomas Merriweather leads the running game with 99 carries for 413 yards and six touchdowns. Armand Robinson is the leading Redhawk receiver with 65 catches for 696 yards and four touchdowns and Nick Harwell has 45 catches for 615 yards and four touchdowns. The Miami defense hasn't been anything special as the offense has turned the ball over plenty, putting them in rough spots often. For the season the Miami offense is averaging just 19.9 points and 327.4 yards per game while the defense is allowing 26.6 points and 345.9 yards per game.
Akron is 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 games as an underdog, 3-10 against the spread in their last 13 games overall, and 0-6 against the spread in their last six home games. Miami is 5-1 against the spread when playing a team with a losing record, 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 games following a straight up win, and 4-11 against the spread in their last 15 games as a favorite. The favorite has covered in five of the last six meetings of these two.
What we have here are two sub par defenses against two offenses that can't take advantage of it which has created a point spread that has moved sharply. While 47.5 seems like a modest number for two defenses who give it up in bunnches, a 20 point night for either of these teams just doesn't happen all too often and to expect it to tall come together for both of them on one night may be a bit ambitious. I would say tread with caution but the under is the play.

I rarely bet college unders but this one is just begging to be taken...only question is how do u bet an under at 48 with a team giving up 40 a game??
I about an hour away from Akron.. Winds blowing at a constant 25-35 with higher gusts. Temperature about 50 degrees too. Not ideal conditions for scoring points. Although I thought the under was a lock last night too with all that rain and wind in Philly.

Something is fishy here. Line moves from -13.5 to -9.5 with over 70% of public pounding Miami OH?? I don't always follow reverse line movements but when it's as drastic as this I have to put a small play on the home team underdog. Akron +9.5

This one isn't that tough. Akron has had only one game (N Illinois) where both halfs went over 24. Same with Miami (the Missouri stomping). Plus the Miami starting QB is out.
UNDER 24 1ST HALF
if it doesn't hit...
UNDER 2ND HALF
