  Hardly Covers - Good to see you again.  I had Bama bet for the game, but my heart was with Texas... If they would have pulled that miracle out without McCoy I wouldn't have cared about the money... didn't have alot on it.  Oh, well, sorry I didn't see your post until now.  Time for $$$$$$.

Dr. Dogs - Thanks for the props!  I try my best to help out here and get information that I need to make a more sound educated wager.  I would love to see all of us win!  And you are so correct, $ management is a HUGE factor in successful seasons.

hey boys im a wvu fan but you need to watch out for these marshall boys. yeah they are going to get beat but they have nothing to lose. they are playing for respect and thats all they want. marshall will pull out every trick play they have and surprise those big ten boys who cant even win a championship game..cough cough...

  Heh heh! Miami will not beat OSU. The Buckeyes may have faultered in championship games, but they got there consistently and lost to top competition. Tressel and OSU likes the country playing the choke card and it's time for the tables to turn.  Marshall and Miami both lose large, but I'll likely buy pts or play a tease on OSU just so I'm not in the least concerned. I think the Bucks D will not allow a TD to Marshall. I'd give the herd maybe a FG or two at most in the shoe. We're pretty close to the 45 on the West Side and I expect to be up 24-0 first half. Taking 1st half -14 large.

  Hey bud, you are on the right side of this! OSU will not rest the starters until the spread is surpassed...but not because Tressel is looking specifically at 28. Even then, most of the backups are better than Marshal's starters. Heck, who knows if Marshal's willing to play their starters ALL game just to chance early season injuries while the game is already way outta hand? Marshall and the Bucks will both have their 2-3 teams in by the 4th.

Good to see the regulars back in play... Good luck to everyone!!

I like the over here... I agree with the guy that says Marshall is playing for respect and has nothing to lose. They'll score, not sure how many points, but I think they'll score 10 (minimum). I look for the buckeyes to roll here, defense scores, Marshall catches a break in the second half and puts up just enough to go over the number.

Football starts today but I would like to start off by saying...My families thoughts and prayers goes out to those of you out in the East Coast that are in the process of protecting your families and your homes from hurricane Earl. As much as I dont want to lay 28pts I think Ohio State is going to come out with fire tonight...top 3 team nasty defense and a heisman hopeful...they are going to let it fly with T.P. and be sky high in the horeshoe 2nite...

Look at OSU’s MAC history

            2003: beat Bowling Green at home, 24-17

            2004: beat Marshall at home, 24-21

2005: beat Miami, Ohio at home, 34-14

            2006: beat N. Illinois at home, 35-12

            2007: beat Akron at home, 20-2

            2008: beat Ohio at home, 26-14

            2009: beat Toledo away, 38-0

 

Except for Toledo (who was coming off a huge win over Colorado), there have been no 28 point wins over the annual MAC opponent.  Give me

Marshall is In Conference USA not the MAC.. but Marshall is the play here! Marshall is returning their QB and top RB from last years team. They can put up atleast 10 here. +28.5 to the BANK

Ohio St is a good play.  Returning 10 starters from last year including Pryor, Running Back Brandon Saine, Wide Receiver DeVier Posey, Wide Receiver Dane Sanzenbacher, and Running Back Dan Herron. They should have no problem winning by 35, possibly in first half.  Could be a little close in the final quarter after Jim rests his starters, but looking to start off the season right.  Good luck all!
