Louisville seems to get beat up on the road... they had decent showings against Cincinnati and wvu at home but were smoked by a pitt team on the road who Rutgers thrashed on the road...
In the end I believe Louisville throws up some points with what I think is a decent offense and Rutgers will score almost at will.
for rutgers, aside from the first two losses against fresno and unc, the games look like solid wins and not so bad losses. their schedule was tough and they prevailed against some decent teams when they could have laid down.
Does anyone know how bad the Louisville secondary is? Why is there almost no talk about the Rutgers backs?
Lets get some feedback please!!!!!!!!

Louisville cornerback Woodny Turenne leads the conference with 5 ints. Rutgers closest cornerback...Jason McCourty with 2.
But the Rutgers have only turned the ball over 19 times where as Louisville has 28. Of those 19....14 were interceptions and of the 28...16 were interceptions.
Louisville is 68th in pass efficiency defense and Rutgers are 79. Rutgers are 40th in pass efficiency and Louisville is 88th. So will those equal out?
I think with Louisville's run offense better than Rutgers run defense...they will run it all night and hold the ball so that Teel won't be able to throw it on them

goinggone you have a valid point...but what if Louisville comes out with a game plan to run it down their throat? then what do they do with such little time?

Short answer is yes, but I think you have to plan on a 10 point victory. I'm not taking Rutgers at 10.5. Way too easy for a backdoor cover at that number. 9.5 is a different story. I think Louisville D will be decent in this game. I got Rutgers at 9.5 and leanin Under.

louisville has a more balanced offense, but, of late it hasn't proven to be very effective.rutgers on the other hand is primarily one dimensional (pass) yet they have shown themselves very adept at overcoming the obvious(see win streak)strategy of their offense. without rehashing all the points made above on both defenses, i think louisville will score points but not enough to stay close to rutgers at home. going rutgers/over parlay tonight. lol

Louisville on a 4 game ATS losing streak, while Rutgers is on a 7 game ATS winning streak. Wow talk about teams going in opposite directions. I do like the fact the L'vile is 9-2 ATS last 11 coming off a SU DD loss,, couple that with the fact that they are 6- 0 ATS last 6 as a DD dog. With that I'll take a shot on losing my money on the Cards plus the generous 10.5 points.
Rutgers - 30 Louisville - 21
Cardinals +10.5 O/U 51 I'll take a shot on the over even though I have the score right on the number...GLTA

Louisville has allowed 20 points or more in 10 of their 11 games, and 28 points or better in each of their last 4 games... Rutgers has been over 6 of there last 7 thursday night games. Over is the play.

Like Louisville +10.5. Initial look would be to take Rutgers as they have been on a roll covering while Louisville hasn't been covering. I believe Schiano plays better as a dog, especially a bigger dog. If you look at the total yards for the season and the differential against each other's defense you will find that Rutgers comes out +1 yard(354-353). Rutgers has the edge in +42 in passing and Louisville +41 in rushing. I believe the time off should help the Louisville when we are talking double digits. Both qb's are seniors, so no advantage there. The last 3 opponents should help Louisville (w.v., cincy, and pitt) should help compared to Rutgers (army, usf, syr.). Finally, the last 2 games these teams have matched up has been decided by fieldgoals. I would make a small play on Louisville. The only thing that scares me is Rutgers in its last 4 wins has been by an avg of +24 points. Louisville's last 4 losses have been by a margin of -15. I say it is because of opponents and Louisville stays within 10 points of Rutgers.
Louisville 27
Rutgers 31

though the ville has forgotten what it;s like to cover a point-spread, look for them to go down for a chance at a bowl, look for speedy back victor anderson, and tough fullback brock bolin to help move the chains , and to setup play-action to speedy wideout doug beaumont, while D coach larry english gets just enough stops to keep this within the number here...rutgers---29---22................
