Gtsum . . . What is with the number here? Not trying to knock you or anything but just curious. Looking for a direction, especially if you follow NU alot. I saw NU play twice earlier this year and was not impressed. Va T and Mizz. Was there somone who was out at that time that is back now. Understand Mizz loss, I mean damn Mizz was rolling but just didn't see much against VT. Is it just that Kansas is so up and down, play bad away from home, what?
Like I said just curious. Looking for some help here. Early lean all over KU. What am I missing?
Well for the first 4-5 games of the year, the coaching staff was trying to see what kind of personel they had (as far as what formations work better for the NU players, etc). They have pretty much scrapped the power running game and heavy sets (2-3 TE's). They have now employed a short passing game, zone read scheme (not a spread per say, but they have sprinkles of it in there). They also have realized that the O line (which was supposed to be the strength of the team...yeah right) cannot get it done mano vs mano so you see QB Ganz rolling out a LOT and passing on the run (where he is very, very good at). The Va tech game was close...the HUskers gave up 9 points in the first few minutes of the game (blocked punt and a FG) and then played tough..had Va tech stopped on 3rd down and they would have had to punt it back with about 4 minutes left and then we had 2 personal fouls = game over. The mizzou game was bad...NU got their asses kicked up and down the field...no way around it..they tinkered with a hybrid D and it was a complete failure...the following week against TT they did the short passing, ball control and had Tech beat..they outplayed Tech for most of the night....against OU the first 4 minutes decided the game, but take those away and OU would still roll...there was too much speed on the field for NU....all year long HC Pelini has talked about how the team practices each week...going into the va tech game he said the practice was lousy (and they got beat)...going into the Mizzou game he said the same thing (and they got beat bad)....he does not pull punches when assessing the practice habits each week....NU has played like they have practiced all year...so far this week, Pelini is pretty happy with the effort and execution and I expect a good game against KU. Starting offensive tackle Murtha is out, as is starting MLB Dillard. Everyone else should be a go...I think NU plays keep away (Kansas D is not good) and I think NU makes enough stops to be in at the end...it is going to come down to a nut cuttin 4th quarter imo...gonna be a close game either way...

As a KU fan living in Nebraska, I have mixed emotions on this game, but I can tell you this Nebraska team has a sense of urgency right now and they'll be ready. They're fired up to play and eager to get that sixth win and become bowl elgible this week. KU played their best game last week and Nebraska played their worst. Neither team will have a repeat performance from last week. Don't think this team hasn't forgot about the beat down in Lawrence last year. I look for the Nebraska team that took Texas Tech to the wire to show up in this game. Roll with the home team.

that would explain the line movement but does not scare me one bit this is not ur grandpa's jayhawk football team...Can anybody verify that my research is shotty right now but off the top of my head I'm pretty sure Kansas has never won at Nebraska...

Calling all sharps! Calling all sharps! Be on the lookout for a sweet trap game line today one that doesn't come around too often! Yes I'm talking about Nebraska. Tokin, Bruce what do you guys think of this one? Not that you're going to push me off of this bet, but doesn't Nebraska look like the play here? I'm pounding this one. I think it's a moneymaker. Went to bed last night line was at -1 at my book wake up in the middle of the night and it's at -1.5. Probably be at -2 by lunch time.
Taking Nebraska -1.5 for a EXTRA LARGE sized play!

NU is truly an em bare ass ment this year again. They have shown their ass every big game-yes even at Texas Tech with that putrid interception in OT-nice call Watson, that's why you run the ball brainiac! However, this may, and I emphasize, may be a chance at payback from last year. KU is just weak enough offensively for the Huskers to stay close. Huskers by 4-GL

I'm with the Nebraska backers here. I think Neb will get it done. They looked good for a few weeks there until that early debacle against Oklahoma. I think they get back on track here.
Nebraska -2

i gotta go with Nebraska because the line shifted from 1.5 to -1.5.....its a trap game for kansas backers considering if shifted w/ all the money on them.....so i'm going w/ nebraska -1.5.....5 UNITS
