1. Coach Dooley got his game plan together for the 2nd game of the season. Enough for Cal in the 3rd? What's the spread?
2. Hawaii's O-line, Rb's, & Defense had trouble in Ruston. I think they are correctable, but....in time for UNLV? To cover...I mean...of course, we are gonna win.
3. UNLV almost had an upset against a Top Ten team last week also. I didn't see the game, so please fill me in.
Confirmed:
1. Colt Brennan and his receivers are FREAKIN awesome....
2. The underdog can spoil the spread....Big Time.
-3 turnovers killed us. Penalties also probably went to the Dogs. Homefield....Dogs. As a fan, I am stoked that Hawaii pulled one out. As a gambler...
I thought our defense would handle better. Tech definately improved on offense.

I will throw in my two cents. UNLV played far better in week 2 than in week 1 against Utah State. Nobody expected that type of performance from our RS freshman QB. I am afraid we can't play catch up if this game goes from one endzone to another. I see this one starting rather slow and then turning into a track meet with hawaii winning by 3 scores. The score will be 42-21 or 49-21. UNLV's defense is a 3-3-5 and is playing better but there is plenty of youth in that secondary. The extra DB's will be necessary to cover the 4 wideouts for Hawaii. I really don't expect us to defend them that well. I also don't think that our defense can matchup to the Boys

Great info
Not too sure though if UH will be up for this one 2 road games in a row. Was actually invited to come up and watch the game but ran into some snags in my plan. If you do go out and watch this game look out for loud crazy locals from Maui. Trust me bring ear plugs.

I'm really digging the Warriors in this matchup. Now that TCU has lost, Hawaii has the knowledge that if they run the table, they have a very good chance of getting into a BCS game. Who wouldn't want to watch that offense against the big boys?
After the scare last week in Louisiana Tech, Hawaii will undoubtedly be ready to play. Yes, they've been on the road for awhile, but I take that as a sign that the Warriors are getting used to their surroundings. I don't consider that a negative at all. The Warriors will be fired up for this game and put themselves in position to not sweat out the fourth quarter.
UNLV on the other hand barely defeated Utah State, one of the five weakest teams in I-A in Game 1. The Rebels played way over their heads in Week 2 against Wisconsin. I'm sure UNLV had the Wisconsin game circled on their calendar, and it will be challenging for the Rebels to "fire up" again after that close defeat.
Whenever you play a high powered offense like Hawaii, there's always the possibility of surrendering a few early scores and being in quicksand the rest of the game. UNLV looks like one of those teams here.
I'll be laying the points with the Warriors and looking for them cruise big time.
Good luck!

La Tech loaded up the box against Hawaii, and got a bunch of sacks against Colt. He really took a beating. The new RB's couldn't handle the blocking duties. The starting blocking back, Farmer, was out early with a personal foul, and then succumbed to the heat.
If UNLV plays a 3-3-5, it will be good for Hawaii.
What's it like to play in 100deg. heat?
DL John Fonoti is back for Hawaii. Blaze Soares is still (?). Soares is an outstanding LB who was sorely missed at Tech. He is out with a hamstring.

last week i was with UNLV, but this week i'm against them... even though they held Wisconsin to 20 i just dont see them holding Hawaii back at all, i also think they'll still be flying high from the last game and this will be a let down... no home distractions this week, whats more distracting? bright lights and casinos or huge waves, hot girls, luaus (loo-ows) spelled horribly wrong... hawaii will need to come out on fire to get that close game out of their head from LA Tech, they can obviously put points on the board, UNLV doesnt have the offense to catch up or even match, their defense is young and will suffer... Hawaii is the right play here

I first started posting here on Covers, when I noticed some incorrect information on injured players. Journalists tend to get caught up in the hype too (neg. or pos.), so accurate info can be white washed.
Bongaboi, the over did pay off last week for the Hawaii game.

If you have any questions regarding UNLV's team than let me know. I can fill you in quite well. I have a rivals membership and follow recruiting pretty heavily for bball and football.

Along with dealing with being on the road this long Hawaii was in Texas today practicing on Rice's field in the rain. Practice did not go too well. They limited passing plays due to the weather and mishandling of the football.

I like the over but still thinking. As you can see at my earlier post they practiced in the rain the other day and I'm just hoping that the Hawaii players are not a bit under the weather today.
Abe sorry that I did not see your post in time to give you some of my plays today
Actually my biggest play today just hit. Wake Forest at the half
Next time bro just click on my avatar to see what threads I'm on and you can catch my picks on the thread.
Back to this game...my lean is on the over but not decided as of yet.
Aloha and good luck to all
