SC defense gave up 400 yards offense and 4-5 Red Zone penetrations to Southern Miss while UGA never allowed ULL to cross mid field. Half of ULL's offense came on one play with busted coverage.
UGA has superior, and deeper, talent in a game that will be played in hot, humid conditions. The only edge SC has over UGA is homefield and an experienced QB with a history of inconsistency. UGA better at OL, receivers, running game, and a big edge on Special Teams. Sure SC could pull the upset, but UGA has dominated SC over the decades with a 46-14 record, and a 7-2 record since Richt came to UGA. Small to medium play since it is still too early in the season to be overly confident.
