Florida at Louisiana State (10/06/2007)

I already have one unit on the under here.  I expect a fairly conservative approach here, especially on the LSU side.  Am also leaning toward FLA +7, as this is being set up much like the bowl game last year.  I could see Fla just recycling the same motivation speech from last year, only amping it up as "people STILL doubt us" etc.  But have yet to make a play on the final or half spread.

Florida's ability to run the ball has been an added bonus for Florida's success. Unfortunately they will be facing a LSU defensive line that halts a 1.3yds per carry. If LSU can stuff the run tomorrow Florida will need to rely on a guy who's name I seen a lot on this thread...QB Tim Teebow. Just like KY's Andre Woodson did against SC Tim Teebow will be tested in this game against a tough LSU front line. I'm sure Urban Meyer will be ready but will Teebow be ready?

I'm sure the handful of players on LSU did not forget the loss that Florida gave them last year in the swamp. I think those LSU vets been salivating for this game since the beating in the swamp. Which would explain the poor play by LSU in the Tulane game I'm pretty sure they were already looking ahead for this one.

I do give props to Florida considering that over 60% of their key players thus far are either Freshmen or Sophmore but that would explain the struggles they had against Auburn last week. The 2 Td's in the 4th qtr by Florida made that game closer than it looked.

Florida struggled and lost to Auburn at home. Although they will probably be a fair share of Florida fans in LSU...Florida will still be at LSU.

Strong lean on LSU at the half -6. Due to Florida's struggles at home against Auburn in the first half.

Florida has been bad ATS?  That is because they have been the favorite.  Here they are the underdog.  Last year, they were in that position for a bowl game.

I concur with the Doctor's prognosis

I'm a Tulane fan, and couldn't believe how well we played a half against the Tigers last week, but I'm thinking tonight Miles will go much quicker to his more mobile second string quarterback who will run all over Florida if he doesn't pass them to death.....Miles hasn't turned this guy loose yet to show what he can do....maybe tonight's the night....anyhow, my money's on the tigers .....

Went with LSU at the half in this one.
