I think Mississippi State is a bit underrated.. Auburn has the name and public backing.. line movement is kinda strange also.. liking Miss. State more and more because of it..

Auburn fans are a little too confident about their offense.  They really believe they can score 30+ in every game they play.  If I were Missy State, I would make him beat you in the air.  I imagine he will be too hyped up this Thursday to throw with any accuracy.  If MSU can stop Auburn's run, they will win.

Had Auburn pegged in this game before the season started, might as well follow through with a small bet.

Tigers -1.5 (1 unit)

Figure to be a high scoring game but Auburn has slightly better skill position players on offense, and the O-line should wear out the Miss St defense eventually.  Game could come down to the wire and Auburn's K is a very good one.

Let me first say that I am an Auburn grad.  However, I also don't see thing only through orange and blue glasses.  I like Auburn in this game and I'll tell you why.  Auburn only ran 11 total offensive plays in the game (including the 1 trick play with Caudle).  They just ran those other 10 plays out of multiple sets.  They also played their Corners off the ball 9 yards giving Arkansas State all the underneath throws they wanted.  When, and rarely when, they played on the WRs they shut them down.

Look for a much more open playbook in this game.  They have four runners: Newton (QB), Dyer (RB), McCalebb (RB), and Fannin (RB).  Fannin is the pass catcher, McCalebb is the scatback, Dyer is the bruiser, and Newton is just a freak athlete playing QB.  You'll see the combo wear that Mississippi State defense down with the no huddle by the second half.

As far as the Auburn defense goes, you'll see a lot more than you saw last Saturday night.Russell, their FR QB, has not see true SEC football.  He'll understand tomorrow night.

I was thinking Auburn when I saw the game.. then the line came out.. i was like WTF in my mind.. n then alot of the public is pounding Auburn, yet the line goes down?? interesting to say the least..

I really want to bet this one,but it is uncomfortable. I havent seen either team play since I saw Miss. State play Florida close. I think that Auburn has a talented QB but is he really ready? I am not sure, he looked rough in the spring game. Someone convince me to take Miss. State.

.5 units on MSU first half at +.5 points. THis is the QB's first start on the road in front of a real Division 1 crowd. I know the dogs will be hyped up for this one. I think that Miss St may win but the 1st half play is much more comfortable.

Auburn is 1-9 ATS on the road in the past two seasons.And Mississippi St has covered in 4 out of the last 5 games at home vs SEC teams. Auburn is 0-4 ATS as a road favorite since08. This is something to look at.

Basing your judgement of Cameron Newton based on a pre-season scrimmage in which he showed nothing. You're in for a shock when you watch him tonight.

Game looks to be very close, so I can see why everyone is splitting on this.  That is why I don't see taking a big risk on betting the spread either way, just a minimal play for interest.  

The O/U looks to be the best play to me.  Both offenses looked high-powered to me, and AU's defense did look as soft as last year (come one, 340 yards passing from Arky State and 26 points?)  MSU showed great ability to both pass and run the ball which puts a big strain on an OC.  Add to the mix both QBs in only their 2nd game and turnovers may inflate the numbers.  Damned good Thursday night game!  

 3 unit bet on the over, 1 unit on MSU.

Everyone loves Auburn to win this by double digits.

Vegas still set the line at only two.

That's all I need to know.  I always bet with Vegas, especially in nationally televised games.  The books don't believe in Christmas or birthdays.

At home the Bulldogs are averaging 49.0 scoring, and holding teams to 7.0 points scored on defense.
