Can any of the Vegas 'experts" out there provide an info' regarding the significance of the opening line moving from 7.5 to 10. I already know that the move was caused by Ala money. But historically, what has been the outcomes, and if late money moves it downward.

How do you determine a 'Homer" when one team is from Indiana, one from Alabama and the game is being played in Florida?

I dislike both of these teams, nothing "homer" about me.  There are many posters who are blinded by emotion, whether love or hate, but most here are bettors just expressing an opinion.  Everything is possible, especially in a bowl, but the facts support Alabama to win.  The only question is, by enough to cover?  I think so despite having no love for Alabama's offense.  But the Bama OL is a force, and ND has not played against a team as talented as Alabama, not even close.  I think this game is similar to the Alabama opener against Michigan.  They just have more talent in the trenches and at RB.  You may disagree but don't assume it all "homerism", it is easy to see that when it occurs.

As for Alabama vs Notre Dame:  Right now I am leaning on Alabama.  I believe coaching is one of the key factors when all the marbles are on the line and both teams have not played for a long time.  Last week, I was leaning more to ND.  During bowl games, I also look at which team is more motivated and definitely Manti T`eo brings a lot of motivational aspect to the team.  That's why I'm still torn right now.  As Sammy-Ace indicated, I also like the under with both team having good defense.  I'll get back to make my final pick when I see the local line as to which way they are heading.  If I don't return to post my play, I stayed with Alabama.

Local lines were 6-10-40.5.

I will go with Alabama and stay out of O/U.

After a month layoff basically for both teams,really hard to say

what you are actually going to get from both of these teams.

It's like the first game of a new season.

With that being said,always better to take the points in the first game

of the season.

I have to agree with irisheyes on everything--especially  "the intangibles" that Norte Dame brings to this game. my Norte Dame winnings this year sent my daughter and her family to South Bend on senior day ---my grandson's feet never touched the ground--it was his dream trip of his life and they also met Mante's family.The Trumpets, the Grotto,the field and Touchdown Jesus--I can go on and on--My call is The Irish and the under ( +91/2  401/2 ) backed up with a three team tease Irish +191/2  over 301/2 under 501/2   Three Cheers For Old Norte Dame...

Umm everyone is talking about ND like there some chumps. Hey I know the had some sub-par performances but they one them all. Had the hardest schedule on paper before the season started. Nobody told Mich, USC, and Oklahoma to stink it up this year. They beat Stanford who beat Oregon (and I know bad weather surley helped). 

I expect simple game plan. If Alabama comes out throwing  I expect them to turn it over. Notre dame will be throwing but I expect with minimal success.

Going with 1 unit play on Under 41
